Fell behind on the threads but am caught up. LOL at all the Chinese confusion! Let's hope Adam is on that plane to China and he picks up millions of new Chinese fans! It's a holiday here in Canada. We're celebrating Queen Victoria's birthday! She was born May 24, 1819 ... so way before any of us were born!!! I bet most people here have no idea why it's a holiday. Anyhow, Happy Victoria Day to my fellow Adam-fanning Canucksđ I still call it Victoria Day but as far as my son is concerned, it's the May Long Weekend.  |

Love the Billboard write-up of Adam. Funny how two of the most successful Idols in the top 10 (Adam and Daughtry) were "Idol Rockers" but you rarely see that represented on the show now. It feels like all WGWGs and/or country all the time. And R&B singers are still represented but they get voted off really fast and early. The latest winner, Abi Carter, a fantastic vocalist and piano playing singer-song writer, threw down with several rock performances and worked that stage better than anyone else, lol. And people took notice of her diversity and lack of fear in taking risks instead of playing it safe and staying with the piano. And she listed Taylor Swift as one of her musical influences but also My Chemical Romance and Paramore and Adam as one of her favorite Idols. So I think there is some "rocker" there too. HA. But it was nice to see someone win who was unafraid to mix it up.

Does anyone here still watch American Idol? A young woman named Abi Carter won last night and beat two WGWG's -- so that was a surprise! She has a great voice and showed a lot of growth over the season so wishing her lots of luck in a tricky business!The Voice finale is tonight and there is a contestant name Asher HaVon who has an amazing voice but is maybe a bit too flamboyant for America. We shall see... Here he is singing Titanium. But country voters are so loyal that I'm surprised that Will did not win. And once Jack went out, I thought his votes would go to Will for sure. But I guess not. |

"Jeopardy Masters" had a category tonight for American Idol Alumni. The alums represented were completely and utterly predictable. The first "answer" was about Adam filling huge shoes as the frontman for a noted band, so the "question" was "What is Queen?" The other alums? JHud, Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and Chris Daughtry.
Shocking, I know.
