This seems like such an odd show. Am I correct, it looks like other singers (non-professionals) will compete AGAINST Adam?????
The Chinese LOVE him and always have, I'll bet there are milliions of viewers, so good for him. Also, looks like they are happy to share videos so good for us!

Yeah, it seems weird that he will compete with these other singers. Oh well. He'll do fine. We'll get to hear his beautiful voice. I'm sure there will be some GREAT voices on the show. Great exposure for Adam! His Chinese fans are really enthusiastic!

As best I can understand, these are not just some standard contestants looking for fame, it is the best China can offer...that are prepared to compete with no tuning aids. They have chosen Adam to join them [and a few other non-chinese I gather] to prove to or for 'the/some/a' PTB that it is time singers got back to 'real' singing and Adam is rightly renowned as a non-altered, amazing live singer. They would love a Chinese singer to win but I am unsure what the goal is on that level. I am surprised Adam is singing WWFM as he sings many others that are more intricate and show worthy IMHO but... I could be all wrong on this but I think this is the general gist of the show. eta....I would love to see this done over here....we have a lot of well paid musicians that would fall apart under this sort of 'no net' situation! I think it is a great idea..... |

Yeah, not too many that do it without "help". I am thinking WWFM maybe the hemix since it is just out. So, these are great singers from China, but are they non professional? Or, are they other professional singers. I am still confused.

And it bothers me that so many win these big awards and they can't sing live and without help. But none of those impostors would even dare to compete in a show like this. HA. |

Well, this sure puts a different spin on it. I'm sure Adam will be great. TBH, WWFM is not my favorite Adam song. For this "competition" it seems pretty tame. I can think of other songs of his that would really show off his vocal skills much better. Adam has a musical theater voice, and in that world, super big strong voices like his are not that rare. But rock and pop and rap, et. don't require great voices. And that can be an asset, too. Music is not all the same. I bet we'll hear some really good voices on this show.

Controversial, but accurate 💯. Both are classic, but @queenwillrock had a distinctive quirkiness, gave us top-tier vocals (WWTLF & TSMGO) and got a 2nd wind when the spectacular @adamlambert became the next lead singer. #Queen #adamlambert
