Adam Lambert live debuted two new songs including "Lube"
The former American Idol has done a ton in his career so far. Besides his introduction to pop stardom when he came in second place on Idol, he has successfully kept Queen's flame stoked by fronting the classic rock band for the last 13 years.
But many may not realize his solo material has a huge audience. Adam was the first openly gay performer to have a #1 album on the Billboard 100 chart, when his second solo album Trespassing topped the chart in 2012.
At Pride he sang three of his newest tunes Friday night, including "Wet Dream" and "Lube" which both dropped that Thursday.
“I created both of these songs with dear friends and the writing sessions were full of laughter and joy," he said in a written statement.
"The freedom with which we wrote these lyrics is evidence of a new chapter in my artistry where I refuse to edit or filter myself. Both songs are about connection, and fearlessly turning fantasy into reality.”
Lambert also live debuted a third song, whose title is technically unknown but it's probably a term that's vulgar in the US but passable in the UK. It uses all but two of the letters in the word country.

Adam Lambert Live-Debuts Sex-Positive Songs 'Lube' and 'C--ty' at WeHo's OUTLOUD Pride FestFifteen years after Entertainment Weekly ran a weirdly invasive and speculative cover story about Adam Lambert's sexuality, and 15 years after the former American Idol went off-script at the American Music Awards, kissed a man onstage, and nearly got cancelled, the glam-pop powerhouse is very much writing and rewriting his own script. What a difference a decade-and-a-half makes.
On Friday, Lambert kicked off the City of West Hollywood's Pride weekend in a most wet 'n' wild fashion, performing on the OUTLOUD festival's main stage and live-debuting his sexy, sweaty, and definitely unsubtle new single, "Lube." Lambert also belted the similarly hot house-music bop "Wet Dream" and a yet-to-be-released racy romp called "C--ty" (feel free to fill in that NSFW song title's blanks on your own). All three tracks will appear on Lambert's upcoming pleasure-seeking EP, AFTERS.
