OK, still watching VH1 and Jason Mraz is on. I know it's hard to follow Adam Lambert, but did he just explain his video by kind of saying he wanted it to be straightforward to the song because he's not a good actor and didn't want to have any different interpretations of it? Was that a backhanded diss of what Adam just said about his video or am I just reading too much into it? Also, never would have guessed he started as a coffeehouse singer (Haha, and he and his accompanist are wearing matching plaid). Seriously, though, he has a good voice and seems like an ok guy. Also, at the risk of really dating myself, am I crazy, or does this new song sound a little like Afternoon Delight from Starland Vocal Band circa 1976 or so? I seriously doubt it. I've never heard anything bad about him. He is one of those basic, low-key type of guys. He probably hates to do videos and photoshoots that go along with putting out an album or a single.  Jason's song isn't that great, but he is getting lots of leadway with it because of his last single. I wonder if it will catch on? I actually like this song a lot. It's simple and quiet--totally acoustic. I would love for Adam to release a song/video like this some day. I love all of A's vids so far, but at this point (like JustKaren has said), sometimes I just yearn for no frame-per-second editing, but something simple. Like Outlaws of Love in Canada. He looked beautiful in the Talc video. Also, Broken Open would have been a good one. Maybe Broken English will get a shot off this CD--AFTER THE DANCE-Y SINGLE! eta: Forgot to say, I don't think Jason was dissing A in any way about not liking to act--I think he was just telling his own story about his own video. He's just a really low-key guy, and I don't think he's the diss-ing type. |

HAPPY BIRTHDAY irish1139, Finnbert, AND lulzrnaz!!Adam sure has a full schedule today. He must be going to Allentown first - isn't the Q102 thing around 4 pm or so?..and the Princeton, NJ performance is in the evening. (I KNOW cuz I tried for passes *sighs*). A big Thank You to everyone for bringing over the video clips and articles....I always know I can find everything right HERE.

Gosh. What a great day for a Birthday. It's a party in the ipad!
All of the beautiful sentiments. pics and gifs. i am really touched and thank you all! being somewhat tech challenged I am in total awe of the efforts to create the festiveness.
And all of the Adam stuff. the gorgeous pics and amazing words. not to mention the music. some times i forget about the music! there is so much to this man. I listen or look and i feel my lungs expand, then catch my breath, feel my heart beat quicken, and the synapses fire. Euphoria.

I'm pretty sure they're wrong. I think "Mapril" means March or April. April or May would be Apray or something like that. Whenever Adam says "Maypril," he starts out sounding as if he's going to say "March" and then slides into "April." I'm guessing very late March or early April will be the release date.
