6.27.24 Adam News and Info

That answers our previous discussion about what he meant by producing this EP.  I figured he was talking about the vocal production.

Adam reminds me so much of my son...interested in absolutely everything, wanting to try everything.  Our son taught himself to play the guitar, then he decided he wanted to get into music production, but discovered schools and programs for this were super expensive.  When he was younger, he wanted to try ALL the sports, played several, wanted to learn dancing, tap in particular...taught himself how to play the piano.  He also learned about photography, took gorgeous pics.  He's currently really into woodworking, redoing all the cabinets in his new home.  

I think Adam has a deep well of creativity and he's always looking for ways to release that...he's only 42...he has years to find ways to create and discover new things.  I'm so jealous.  I don't have a creative bone in my body. 

The music industry has been a mess for many years now. They get behind and support the few and everyone else is left to just go it alone or indie to try anything to get a little notice. I was just reading yesterday that Billie Eilish's album did not hit #1 on the BB200 because Taylor Swift's label released a 2nd or 3rd version of her hit album on Billie's release week and it blocked her from getting #1. They called her selfish. Boohoo. Both of those ladies and Beyonce and a few others just park themselves at the top and it leaves little room for anyone else. So no sympathy for any of them for not getting a #1 album or only winning a few Grammy's instead of sweeping and winning 5, lol. Watching your favorite artists on the charts was part of the fun, even if they did not get award nominations. Now we don't even get that for most artists. It was so exciting to see QAL fight for that #1 in the UK. Wish it had been that way in the US but it was still something to look forward to. Before this EP, Adam had some good tv promotions and performances (Velvet, High Drama) and interviews. However without a major pushing for him or getting him on the radio, they hardly registered outside his fanbase. But even the majors now prove useless cause they zero in on a few and no one else gets to have a fighting chance. Next up will likely be Adele or Harry Styles again to take up all the space. So frustrating.

Broadway will be so welcomed right about now. HA. And please Universe give us more QAL.
