6.28.24 Adam News and Info

I watched the WWHL clips from the Andy Cohen show last night after the debate. I expected nothing new from Adam but I was much interested in Jordan Klepper. Big fan of him and his contribution at the Daily Show. 

Why am I not surprised that Adam still worships Queen Bee?... Supposedly, her husband paid millions to country music stations to get her songs played. 

The title of CVNTY was discussed. Adam describes it as a "term of endearment" within his friend group that is fierce, sexy, powerful, and makes you feel badass in a cool outfit. Hmm... I thought to myself how weird that a "term of endearment" can't even get spelled out in order to not get censored on social media. I asked my hubby today over lunch how he as a straight guy feels about the song title, and I have to say that he is as liberal as it gets. He thinks it is wrong for Adam to use that term publicly, especially as we live in times when political correctness is important and words matter greatly. We had a good discussion and we concluded that men, gay or straight, have no place in using or reclaiming it publicly as it is highly offensive and derogatory toward women. Same goes for the "N word" that people outside of the black community need to stay away from. We were wondering how Adam would feel about the word "fag*ot" being used by anybody publicly who is not gay. I listened to CVNTY once more, and I have to admit that from a musical point of view it is my favorite song out of the new releases, but I won't be playing it anymore, nor would I buy or stream it. It leaves a bad taste and I'll stay away from Afters altogether.  

On a positive note, Adam looked really good and it seems likely that he has the Broadway gig in his pocket. If so, I think it is a very good thing for him.
