Not to disappoint anyone but I heard it might not be announced til mid July. I know they were still trying to finalize the Sally replacement’s contract. I don’t think they would announce it right before July 4th holiday but I don’t really know. |

I have read a review of Cabaret that indicates this production is very subjective. Which is supposed to be different from the past productions. So, whoever plays the part, will play what he sees the character to be. Should be interesting. Hope it is true. Also, hope he is in enough shows that they are not all sold out. I have seen replacements do as little as 3 weeks and as many as 6 months. it depends on whatever agreement they strike. I have seen several different articles, on the MC each have a different take.

Even if Adam can't make a long term commitment for Cabaret, and only does the show for a few months, I think it will be great for him. Once he releases "Afters" (depending on how much support for the EP that he gets from his community) he might need to start working on new and different music soon. Even if he remains independent, I hope with another release that he can get a distribution deal with a major so that the music is widely heard. I saw an interview where they asked Kelly Rowland about the rumor that Beyonce's next album was going to be rock. Of course she did not answer. But if true, sinse Adam's community loves her so, maybe he would be more inclined to do something along those lines. He can certainly rock better and is more believable than all these PoP ladies, who are giving it a go. J/K, I know if he wants to do more dance music, he will if that is where his heart is, lol. Besides if fronting Queen for 10 years failed to push him in that direction, not much chance anything else will.

Adam would be under contract to replace the biggest lead of the show and I doubt his contract would be less than 6 months. Replacements are usually understudies filling in for the lead actors going on vacation or to allow the new actors coming in enough time to rehearse. I definitely think Adam would make the role his own. It’s a great part for him to be sexy, menacing and sing those fabulous songs. Can’t wait. |
