I found this quite funny: A YouTube video voted by viewers about which old bands should stop touring. I saw Brian May on the title picture and decided to give it a listen to see what this guy would say about why QAL should stop touring. Well... listen for yourself:

I see comments under almost every QAL video about how Roger and Brian should have stopped touring when Freddie died. And especially because Deacon decided to retire...there seem to be quite a lot of Deacon fans. Apparently Deacon retiring was a sign that Roger and Brian needed to quit too. Glad they disagreed lol.

If you hate that they they are performing without Freddie then it is unlikely you will buy tickets or attend the shows anyway. So why should it matter to you if they fail or not with Adam? It is not as if the people who are filling the arenas and stadiums are asking others to pay for their tickets, lol. I get the Freddie love but why should Brian and Roger just fade away because of Freddie died or because Deacon did not want to continue? I think Adam keeping his name separate from Queen benefited him more than if his name had not been separate. First he has a solo career and did not give it up. Second, when QAL tours or performs, his name is getting a lot of publicity too and that was beneficial to him as well.

Agree with you, Lurleene, about the advantages of keeping Adam's name separate from Queen's.

Agree with you, Lurleene, about the advantages of keeping Adam's name separate from Queen's. Queen members = good businessmen. Brian already confirmed the rumors about the Sony rights sale. I would like to remind everyone that they (supposedly) explicitly excluded the live performances from the deal. If they planned to stop touring with Adam this year, why would they even do that? I am also pretty sure that Adam made a quick comment during the Out Loud And Proud documentary interviews in London last month that "in fact we just discussed that topic today" when asked about future QAL performances. So anyone thinking QAL is done should wait for an official announcement - before that, "worrying is simply misuse of imagination"

This year Adam seems to have taken time off from Queen to be able to do The Voice Australia, to release his EP and probably do that musical. At the same time Brian was probably happy to be able to concentrate on the thousand other projects he likes to do. But I‘m sure that they will be back as long as both Brian and Roger are able to do it.
