They are two diffrent words. CVNT as insult, but CVNTY is insider term. I have heard that in the gay club as compliment, even at TV RuPaul's drag race as fierce term. Right. Adam has explained that the word means "fierce" in a good way. it's a compliment in the gay community. But for a long time that word has been a strong insult to women and still is to many people. So, no matter how Adam uses it, it's still an insult to many people. I just figure we won't hear it from Adam after some time goes by. He made his point.

After that last comment re the word …cunt…neither he nor we can claim he was just using that word as some insider term of endearment or fierceness…he likes it as the last great truly shocking curse. And it’s a female reference…given what is going on against women and their rights, it is no wonder it is the ultimate insult …I never bought that "fierce" excuse in the first place no matter how some use it. It is a negative and disrespectful word generally directed at women and I'm sure most people, including Adam, know that. Some gay men seem to have a disdain for women and often show it thru mockery and disrespect in the name of fun and being themselves. Maybe some have been mocked for being too effeminate and disrespected so often that they need to treat another class as inferior. Never felt that way about Adam and women love, respect and support him. He is as sexy and handsome as any straight man and more than most. HA. But he hangs out with some immature people and they have absolutely nothing to lose by turning off some fans. As long as they have his attention (and the attention of some of HIS fans) and benefit from being in his circle, they are good. But I wish he would influence them to be more mature and thoughtful instead of the other way around. Nothing wrong with acting like an adult when obviously that is what you are.

ITA. I had not intended to bring it up again, and to just let sleeping dogs lay...but that interview poked the sleeping bear that I am, lol. Too many animal metaphors here.... I am retiring to my reading chair and a very good book!

About the "C" word. Though I too was informed that the adjective is lighter in its meaning than the noun, I am pretty sure that Adam wanted to use it to shake things up. And he succeeded at it - some celebrate and others are critical and upset, but they are still talking about it, me included lol. It will remain to be seen if Adam will be happy with the outcome of this current vibe once the EP is out, though I think that he is at a point in his life where radio play and topping the charts isn't a priority.
I don't think that Adam wants to be a 42 year old "adult" right now, as some and myself included suggest. He appears to be in a social "high" at least for now and seems to enjoy and seek the validation of his circles and his community, likely something he always craved but now feels bold enough to go for it. In a way I understand it, however I have a hard time with what looks to me like his self described "Peter Pan Syndrome".
