Phew that was a looooong translation!!! Thank you so much for your efforts. Busy days...and quite the challenges with Tutka and this time consuming blog!!! (google translate.... did not get the message across at all!)I went to Delta twitter and could not find anything...so I obviously was looking in the wrong place. How did Delta respond?

Deltaassist twitter responded: twitter.com/#!/deltaassist (looks like they reach out to everyone who tweets a complaint about Delta)

You're welcome! GT is helpful if you want to get a really quick and dirty translation, but sometimes it makes the message more messed up than useful... : Delta's response was: @deltaassist @saulikoskinen1 I'm very sorry to hear about what happened on your trip. Is there anything I can do to help?^WG They were pretty quick with it... LOL Hope we'll get to hear the rest of the story!

@saulikoskinen1 I'm very sorry to hear about what happened on your trip. Is there anything I can do to help?^WG[/quote Whatever happened to the days when, if you got bumped off of a flight, you received a voucher for a free flight anywhere the airline flew to compensate you for their error? Plus money or a voucher for a meal if you had to wait for a later flight? No wonder the airlines are struggling with such poor customer relations. The flight delays may have been out of Delta's control if they were caused by weather or air traffic problems. Still, since the precipitating event was Delta bumping Sauli from a flight when he had checked in with plenty of time to spare, they should have taken care of everything after that --- not just upgraded him to first class. I hope they do something more to make up for it. This would be frustrating and irritating for a native, but, for a foreigner all alone, it would be even more of a challenging and even frightening experience. I guess I have every reason to be anxious and paranoid about flying, regardless of how safe it is. I don't deal well with being stranded and bounced around in a strange city or airport. ETA: And I wonder if Delta has any idea of how many pissed off Glamberts have now put them on their "no fly" list. And what do you want to bet neither Adam or Sauli ever book with them again?
