dorothy are you trolling again? Adam is better singer than Eddie and this musical requires that part more. He is enough actor for this part, don´t worry. typical calling someone ‘troll’ only because I dare to have an opinion based on facts. Have you seen Eddie as Emcee? Have you seen Adam as the Emcee? Of course not. Until you have, you can't compare in a meaningful way. Great actors can give less-than-great performances. Actors who may be less skilled can play a role uniquely suited to their particular skill set and absolutely kill it. Adam deserves the opportunity to be seen before he's declared "lesser than" in the role.

I never said Eddie is a better singer than Adam.

You can't have an informed opinion about Adam as the Emcee until you see him play the role. Not everyone is on board with Eddie's interpretation of the role, and I don't mean Adam's fans.

Not everybody is on board with Adam singing with Queen. Does it make Adam a bad singer? Emcee role is more about acting than singing, it’s very physical performance.

I don't care about Eddie's performance. I'm going to be lucky if I'm able to see Adam's performance. I have no opinion about Eddie's performance at all. It just frustrates me to see someone - on an Adam fan site, no less - being so determined to denigrate Adam in the role before he even steps on stage for the first time. There's nothing objective about that. And I am done.

Good grief guys, IGNORE HER...or him. They are here to troll...he/she has been on here 2 or 3 times...Always with insults and ignorance. Perhaps a Queen fan...perhaps a bot...perhaps a bored adolescent....whichever, not worth the time or attention. Click on the name and read his/her few messages for proof...

I only saw the Tony performance from Eddie. I was not impressed and did not enjoy but to be fair that was only one performance. Did enjoy what I saw of Landon (?) posted here from the West End.
Adam did not appoint himself to be the frontman for Queen and to the chagrin of some, what the naysayers thought did not matter. Brian and Roger chose him and he was great and the arenas and stadiums were full. Adam also did not give himself the role in Cabaret. The people in charge of the hiring (not any of us) made the decision so obviously they think Adam is a good choice and has something to offer in the role. He didn't just walk in off the streets and demand the role, lol. He will bring his own talents to the project and hopefully will do a wonderful job. When Adam did The Ten Commandments, Val Kilmer got terrible reviews but Adam got great ones. When he did Rocky Horror, Laverne was not so great but Adam got really good reviews for his smaller role. So my guess is that Adam will do a fine job. But chances are that just as some reviewers did not like Eddie some will not like Adam. But hopefully Adam will do a good job and get overall great reviews. But his job is not to compete with Eddie but to bring his interpretation and life to the role. If he does that, no doubt he will succeed. I think most will give him a chance, wish him well and not automatically assume that he can't deliver. So far, the press has been positive so there seems to be a lot of excitement with him being cast.

Well said Lurleene. Imo Eddie is a wonderful actor very well trained very technical. I’m excited to see Adam in the role because even though he’s not as well trained as Eddie he will bring a charisma and sexiness to the role that I don’t think Eddie has. Two totally different types of actors two different interpretations but I think that was the producers intention. I have also seen lots of excitement and curiosity to what Adam will bring to the role.
