Holy shneikey, 71 pages and I'm just getting here. No sleep for me tonight.  This is sooo exciting and I'm so happy for Adam. It's amaaaazing! Off to read as much as I can.  |

I'm surprised my credit card company didn't call me, since I ordered twice and it was a lotta money. They have called before, and the last time, about a month ago, there was a fraudulent charge, one had processed and one was pending and we had to cancel our card and get a new one.

I can not be in hiding any more! This is my the very first post. I am happy!! I am flailing! I have tickets for the concert and I will go!!! Guys, you are my favorite group of people! I fell in love with Adam's talent from the first time I saw and heard him on American Idol. I knew he was a special. The reason why I was so long in hiding because English is my second language and being as some sort of a perfectionist I did not dare to jump into your very exciting discussions. But now what the hall I do not want to miss a thing. I am so in!!!!! I am so happy. Love you all!!!    |

Conversation with hubby: [scene - kitchen. Hoppers sidles in stage right. Husband doing dishes] Hoppers: Ummm....would it totally crazy if I flew out somewhere for a concert? Husband: [looks up, sighs] You have the money? Then go. Hoppers: Ok! [scurries out] [Hoppers scurries back] Hoppers: Its July 7th. Husband: [returns to dishes] Ok. **** Um, I'm not sure when I'll tell him that the concert isn't even in this country. Fairly sure he's not going to be nearly so laid back when he finds out that part...... He didn't ask tho!  ;D Admittedly he also didn't ask who I was going to see. Methinks he already figured that part out as soon as I asked. ETA: edited date!!! |

As I end this 'epic' evening I think about how I'm heading to Europe in July, when this morning I was going no further than the creek out back - - - and a song keeps going through my mind.

Catz, one thing you must never do is ask your fellow stans or Twitter feed to talk you OUT of doing something to do with fandom – you will get the exact opposite results. But usually that's a good thing. When I was contemplating going to Vancouver I asked my feed and got a deafening chorus of GOOOOOOOO!!!! And then I realized I couldn't pass up the opportunity. I stayed with the wonderful Melisende, who has been a goddess again today and has totally facilitated it so that I can go this time too. We were saying on Twitter how Adam has inspired us to just go for it in so many ways and he has. People who rarely travel or haven't traveled in years or never thought they could do something like fly to England ( Chunkey!!) are shedding all their rational reasons for NOT going and thinking MAYBE I CAN??? After the year you've had, if anyone deserves this, it's you!!! Stop it Susiefierce, just stop this. I'm trying my best to be rational, and not go. That 100k+ crowd is totally freaking me out, I feel claustrophobic just looking at the pic. I've never flown anywhere outside of the US before, and I would love to save my money for an Adam tour near by, but all of these people that are going is really putting a damper on my will power. It's just so expensive and I don't think I can afford that plane ticket, etc., but..I'm going to be so jealous of all the people that are going...  |
