R U SRS RN? First off no one said this news was earth shattering so maybe ppl need to adjust their expectations lest they get masisvely let down. Secondly they are not gonna announce the Olympics. It's too early and come on...Shosh and Sonisphere AND QUEEN all have an announcement today and you think it could be the OLYMPICS??!!? Jigga wut? lmao. Ok den... As for it not being a big deal...it kind of is. It's a huge gig that will give lots of people who never would have been exposed to him before to see what he can do, the press cycle will be glorious, plus it's a HUGE honor to play with Queen at the same place of their last concert with Freddie in their 40th anniv year. Plus it will be a huge payday for him and possibly open the doors for even more concerts...it's a win win. Sorry if this seems~snippy but I JUST got over being pissed about seeing ppl onn twitter with the whole THIS ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH mentality on twitter and then I come here and see the same thing. FFS can we all just be happy for once??? Srsly it's a good thing. Of course this is HHHHHHUUUUUUUGGGGGEEEE --- for Adam fans. I think what Avari was questioning was the use of the word "incredible" in a Queen generated tweet (or whatever it was). I get her point that for Queen, the group that is iconic and has had many huge concerts with hundreds of thousands in the audience, this gig would not be so noteworthy as to use the word "incredible." So, the upcoming announcement from them must be something else. Because of the synchronicity of the announcement from Queen, sonicsphere and shoshanna, I am going to still tenaciously hold onto the belief that this will be an announcement about Adam appearing with Queen. I am going to believe, until proven differently, that Queen are so blown away with Adam's voice and showmanship that THEY think a full-out concert with him would be "incredible." It could happen. cassie, it's not only the "bolded part" or that Queen so blown away by Adam's voice, people (organizers) were so blown away by their EMA's performances, Brian & Roger said that their phone didn't stop ringing after that EMA's performance. That's why I think both of them dicides to come out of their retirement and do a couple of performances with Adam. |

Can someone post the EMA performance and Queen interviews on this thread for our entertainment? I know they're on the Adam sings with Queen thread but I always have problems with that thread - it slows my computer right down and I can't navigate it. Thanks! 1) It makes it easier for PR peeps to differentiate between Adam with Queen and Adam Lambert
2). Be thankful he does not go 'all the way' to Kev's lovely locks! hahaha....
And I really like Kev and am glad he is on board...but his hair...not so much...  : ;DThe only way to get him show any skin, is to make him shave his head.  ETA: Adam that is |

As much as I would love another Adam-only cover, I think this news with Queen (and especially if the Olymics were happening also) could be big enough for a Queen/Adam Rolling Stone cover. RS loves this type of thing.

OMG, people! I made a mistake.... I came in here and now I can't concentrate...and I have to do some serious work, that does require my brain to function and not be in a the state of teenage puppy excitement! Is there anyone else that Shoshanna handles that could be associated with Queen? I don't think I would be able to handle the disappointment if it is not about Adam! OK, 2 more hours...  |
