A little OT, but has anyone else gotten this message when they log in to VEVO? We will soon disable all non-Facebook registered logins to VEVO. To get the full VEVO experience, please enter through Facebook. This way you’ll enjoy a richer experience while watching and sharing music videos and all of our other content. I guess I'll be letting my VEVO account go away, I really don't want it connected to my Facebook account, and I don't plan to get a fake Facebook account just for this ... too much trouble remembering to log in and out of multiple accounts. I'd like to let them know how I feel, but when I tried to use their Feedback link, it required logging in with my Facebook account .... aaarrrrggghh! possible alternative if you have a smart phone/ipad: I have the VEVO app on my iphone and I don't recall having to register. Perhaps they have apps for other smart phones as well. |

ETA I don't know about Suz, but a couple of TALC videographers will be there. Yay. That's great news about TALC ... their videos are always the best of the fan vids, very clear and close up, and without the jiggles and mistakes that were in my few miserable attempts to record Adam ... their vids are the ones I save in iTunes. |

Thank you all for the birthday wishes -- it's the big 40 today  Sonisphere is such exciting news. But I'm even more excited about Atop friends getting to attend. I hope you guys can find each other in the sea of concertgoers. Ame, tend to your responsibilities because we will be here when you return. Many of us have been in this community for several years now and we have varying degrees of interaction as RL dictates. Every time I jump back in, it feels the same. Virtual or not, we are friends.  to all of you. |

OMG guys! On page 2 of the Houston Chronicle this morning is a brief article about Adam singing w/Queen at Sonisphere and they included a pic of Adam (from the Blond's show; head shot)! The title of the article is "Even Mercury would like this Queen's choice." I can't find a link to the write-up but it is the same one from the announcement where Brian talks about how choosing Adam to sing with them would get Freddie's seal of approval, etc.

Dear Atops. This post is going to be OT, so I'm sorry. I just have something on my mind that I have to share. Because of my school duties I'll have to eliminate my time spent in Atop to minimum. That means I'll be totally lost in a very short time but have no other solution as I'm supposed to finish my thesis until the end of an April and pass my degree examination. So it will be very difficult. I love this place and each one of you grew up on me that's why I let you know about it. I'll miss you very much, friends  Hopefully everything will go well if I do my best. Adam, himself is a huge inspiration for me regarding his effort in order to make his dreams come true ETA: But I'll keep posting reminders to a chart  We aren't going ANYWHERE! Do good and we will be waiting. Sounds like your timing is perfect and you will be back for the album release! Good luck!  |

I have a question for you Twitter guys. Does this mean anything? I use my twitter to vote and to do requesting. Otherwise I don't really use it, I hang out on ALF and here. I have been requesting on my local Top 40 station KISS and my local HAC station MIX. I follow them but neither of them follow me back. I wouldn't expect them to. I vary my requests up between Twitter, Facebook, and the forms on the radio station websites. This weekend I was followed by another station, my local adult contemporary station. It is a much higher rated, more well-known station than the MIX station here. I followed them back. I went and requested the song on their station and noticed a big banner ad for BTIKM. My question is does any of this have any significance or is it just part of the randomness of Twitter? (ETA: No Austin station has "added" the song to date.) It's hard to know where advertisements come from, but I know that there is a lot of "personalization" of ads that we see because of our own internet activity. For instance, last fall I purchased a new violin case and did A LOT of research/shopping on the web. Then it seemed like many sites I went to for months had ads for violin cases?!?!?! Most of the sites I visit are ones for which people have put links on Atop. I'm pretty sure Adam-related articles don't naturally have violin case ads for other readers. : : : |
