Oh wow!! Queen performance AND Trespassing release date moved back ONTHESAMEDAY.....that is too much see sawing for me. So totally excited about this show. I so wish I could be there with the bunch of you! However, my parents are celebrating 50 years together this summer and have gone to great trouble and expense to rent a large house in Padre Island the week of July 9th. I fear the timing of this show is a conflict. It is so awesome to see his name up there in the headline spot for a major music festival. And then my head twists around at the thought of a later release date for Trespassing. And then I am totally psyched for the Sonisphere show! Adam induced roller coaster illness She doesn't get too check in at Atop too often so I think MAYBE she found out about the release date being pushed back a bit and the Queen announcement on the same day. JMO Oh could be. Worth repeating.

www.guardian.co.uk/music/2012/feb/21/queen-adam-lambert-freddie-mercury?CMP=twt_guQueen's show goes on as Adam Lambert replaces Freddie Mercury Band announce that American Idol runner-up will join them for headline slot at Sonisphere festival in July Queen have announced that they are returning to the site of their final concert with Freddie Mercury, this time with Adam Lambert in tow. The American Idol runner-up will take the mic for Queen's headlining performance at the Sonisphere festival in Knebworth. "I'm sure Adam would meet with Freddie's approval!" Brian May declared in a statement. This isn't Lambert's first time performing with his idols: Queen's May and Brian Taylor appeared with the singer on his penultimate American Idol episode, and Lambert joined them for a gig at November's MTV Europe music awards. "Judging by my incoming mail," May said, "this decision will make a lot of people very happy." Despite the tenor of May's correspondence, not everyone is excited about Queen's strategic partnership with 30-year-old Lambert. "Poor Freddie," tweeted one fan. Freaks & Geeks producer Josh Weinstein made an unflattering comparison to Queen's previous fill-in frontman: "Adam Lambert will be singing with Queen," he wrote. "Yes, that's how much Paul Rodgers lowered the bar." I think Adam saw comments like this one and talked about haters. Haters gonna hate.

Yeah, I suspected the label was moving on to the new single after what happened with VH1 this past weekend. It looks as if RCA is preparing for another single to help the roll-out of Trespassing. I liked BTIKM, but it wasn't catching on the way a lead off single should do to help promote a new album. It is for the best that they conserve valuable resources (time, money, payola) for the next single.

Maybe if the article didn't lead with Adam Lambert Replaces Freddie, there wouldn't have been negativity.
