Late to the game. Drive by to say, I don't care what the Freddie fanatics are saying. I care if the hatred they are spewing reaches Adam and hurts him or makes him insecure with his decision. So, I'm gonna tweet Adam encouragement and appreciation. Best thing I can do in response to the hatred and Adam's tweet. Don't know if it makes anyone here feel better, but as a long-time passionate fan of Paul Rodgers I can say that there were a lot of nasty negative remarks about him from Freddie fanatics in comments sections when he started singing with Queen. Hopefully Adam realizes it comes with the territory and has his force fields up. |

So the very upset Queen fans are probably older ones,because the teenagers and young twenty folks have never seen a live Queen concert with Freddie. They have only heard the music on videos on cds or other British artists working with Queen. Adam may seem like a young upstart American from IDOL ....OY.
Oh well. Good that the Freddie fans are getting the disappointment out now before the concert.. Time for grieving stages and then the concert.
Adam will win out, how can he not with that glorious voice and his marvelous engaging Charisma.
Remember Malaysia.. remember Russia,we were so nervous about both...It's that wild ride folks.. Adam causes a stir wherever he goes. How can we not totally adore him.

I'm shivering with joy at the contagious excitement of the Sonisphere announcement and am absolutely GREEN with envy but soooo happy for all who are able to attend this sure to be once in a lifetime event !!!
One thing I am truly amazed about (maybe I'm just naive ?) but where are all the "congratulations" from Adam's peers????

Dear Atops. This post is going to be OT, so I'm sorry. I just have something on my mind that I have to share. Because of my school duties I'll have to eliminate my time spent in Atop to minimum. That means I'll be totally lost in a very short time but have no other solution as I'm supposed to finish my thesis until the end of an April and pass my degree examination. So it will be very difficult. I love this place and each one of you grew up on me that's why I let you know about it. I'll miss you very much, friends  Hopefully everything will go well if I do my best. Adam, himself is a huge inspiration for me regarding his effort in order to make his dreams come true  ETA: But I'll keep posting reminders to a chart  Ame, I really admire your dedication to Adam, but thesis is important. I remembered I had to stop working to finish my thesis so I can graduate. Looking forward to your reminders and good luck with your thesis. We will be here ;D |

GUYS FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY DO NOT, REPEAT, DO NOT GO TO A QUEEN FORUM AND START WAXING ABOUT HOW AMAZING ADAM IS OR POSTING ZODIAC PICS OF YOUR FAVORITE GLAMNATION VIDS FOR THE LOVE OF GOD THEY WILL JUST LAUGH YOU RIGHT OUT OF THERE AND IT WILL BACKFIRE SPECTACULARLY IN YOUR FACE AND MAKE US ALL LOOK UTTERLY PRESSED. Just ignore it. We don't curr. We are above this. Who cares what some idiots who don't even know how to spell their so called idol's name correctly have to say behind the anonymity of the internet? Who cares what their pudgy, Cheetos stained hands type anyways? I'm sure most of them will eventually feel stupid anyways after seeing how awesome the show goes down. And the rest...well they can stay pressed. We get our Queen/Adam dream come true and they get to be bitter sad people who suck in every conceivable way. I am really, truly happy for everyone here who gets to see Adam and Queen blow up the stage in July! I know you will have an amazing experience to share with the rest of us! Hopefully this will be broadcast on TV somehow -- if it is, I will be planted in front of my sister's very large TV for the duration (I suppose I could let her know this...).
It looks like it's going to be a GREAT party!!!
