The American Idol runner-up will take the mic for Queen's headlining performance at the Sonisphere festival in Knebworth. "I'm sure Adam would meet with Freddie's approval!" Brian May declared in a statement. This isn't Lambert's first time performing with his idols: Queen's May and Brian Taylor appeared with the singer on his penultimate American Idol episode, and Lambert joined them for a gig at November's MTV Europe music awards. "Judging by my incoming mail," May said, "this decision will make a lot of people very happy." Despite the tenor of May's correspondence, not everyone is excited about Queen's strategic partnership with 30-year-old Lambert. "Poor Freddie," tweeted one fan. Freaks & Geeks producer Josh Weinstein made an unflattering comparison to Queen's previous fill-in frontman: "Adam Lambert will be singing with Queen," he wrote. "Yes, that's how much Paul Rodgers lowered the bar." I think Adam saw comments like this one and talked about haters. Haters gonna hate. Really Paul Rodgers lowered the bar??? Never heard him sing Queen songs and don't think I can stand his voice either, but what's his vocal range anyway?? >:(. Roger Taylor said Paul's more of a blues singer that rock. So.. I would love for that producer to eat crow.. ;D |

At what time should we try for the 2nd spin on Chicago U-Mix-IT? I will monitor and see if they play WWFM. If they don't, we should be able to get another BTIKM earliet than we did last night. BRB! |

OK, they just played WWFM. So I would say no chance of getting BTIKM played before 10:30 or 10:45 Central time. |
