I wouldn't be surprised. Doing 2 shows in one day has to be incredibly difficult on the body. I was a part of a choir for years, and 2 concerts in one day is killer...on the body and on the voice, and that was just standing still. Recently joe Locke (heartstopper) did Musical o Broadway and He Said He thought he'd Work the few hours and then live a "new York Lifestyle"...He slept 14 hours a day Sarah barreilles talked about ten hours a night Here's what Eddie Redmayne had to say about that..

I love Eddie Redmayne. I really admire him as an actor. He is fabulous. I am sure a two show day is exhausting. However, Eddie doesn't have the experience that Adam has of singing his brains out for over two hours several nights in a row with QAL already. Not that is is easy, but I am thinking Adam may be a little more prepared for the Broadway Role. I also think it's really cool he is still doing his own make-up. I wondered how that was going to work, I didn't know if performers really did their own, or if there was a make-up artist. He must be in his glory

Except on the makeup part he's forgotten everything he learned over the last 15 years about less is more for the camera. Stage makeup great for the stage, not so great for the Gala (or way back when with Ke$ha). On the other hand, yep still looks the same age.

I like Eddie, too, and I'm sure is Emcee was terrific. Long-term live theater stints have to be exhausting. esp. after many months. Adam has incredible stamina. He proved it on the QAL tours. Even Brian and Roger said that Adam's ability to keep his voice top-notch on a long tour was really better than Freddie's. Also, it's human nature to simply get tired of the repetition, day after day, month after month. But the rewards are very high in many ways. Not everybody gets to star in a Broadway show. It's the opportunity of a lifetime. Adam is up to the task, I have no doubt. But I'll bet by March, he'll be ready to move on to something new. It will be interesting to find out what that will be.

And I'm sure Adam does his own make-up. He's done it forever and knows what he wants. Just my guess.
