Comparison I saw Cabaret with Alan Cummings and now with Adam Lambert I enjoyed them both it I do not remember Alan having as many costume changes as Adam did I loved the staging in the round Opinions?

They are so different. I slightly prefer Adam partly because this production is so much darker and chilling than the 1998 Sam Mendes production (which I saw and loved with Alan Cumming), but also because Adam hands down has a better singing voice - the role doesn’t give him too many opportunities to outright show off, but that voice is there, throughout. Of course this may also be recency bias. In any event, none of this is to disparage Alan Cumming, he was spectacular and I loved his ribald, queer take on the emcee. I thought this new production with Adam wasn’t going to measure up, but for me it did and I’m on my way to see it for the third time, with tickets purchased for a fourth. And I’m not really in the habit of watching things more than once.

Love hearing the raves for Adam. Hope more people buy tickets. Maybe things will pick up during the holidays. This is the thinnest we've ever seen as an adult. IMO.
