I didn't read the Reddit review because I didn't want to know the entire show, however, I did read the short second review. I am perplexed. I don't recall Adam ever saying he lost because he was gay. As a matter of fact, at the time, I recall him saying the opposite. The media kept pushing the "gay" reason. It was only years later after millions of the same do you think you lost becaise you were gay question he said yeah, maybe. And he was clearly the second best singer on the show? Really? - Anyhow, glad this guy came around is is now seeing what he had missed all these years. Loved that he thinks Adam could win a Tony. We all know how good he is. I am hoping this will open the eyes to the rest of America. The talent just oozes out of him. Pft, second best ? As if

After reading those full reviews on the previous page, it makes me realize how different it is to follow someone so closely, like we have with Adam, and to NOT have followed the person closely and then see then in live theater. Those two reviewers knew the minimum about Adam up until Cabaret. They had their opinions of him. I am SO glad they finally saw the Adam that we have been loving for years. He is extraordinary in every way. Hope a lot more people see the show and discover what an amazing talent he is.

www.reddit.com/r/Broadway/comments/1g33xej/cabaret_adam_lambert/?sort=newBrightEyes7742I hadn't seen him in Queen, but i do like his solo music i wasn't sure what to expect from him as The Emcee, I'd seen Eddie, whom i actually really enjoyed, he was my first Emcee (I did see half of a dinner theater production, but since i didn't see the second act, i count Eddie as my first), you never forget your first Emcee. My best friend and I went to see Adam 3 weeks ago, and I LOVED him. He was born to play these kinds of roles!!! I want to see more of him on B'way in the future. And i like that he was so massively different from Eddie's scary and sinister performance.

And thank you so much for the photos! It really puts the staging into perspective. Very small and intimate. So close to the actors.

Nice theatre! But what the heck are these dancers wearing? I guess the pictures were taken either during the pre-show or during the pause. But never ever would anybody in a club in Berlin have worn these pants. They look like Bavarian leather pants, although I guess they‘re not leather. LOL 🤣
I just saw Cabaret last weekend here in Berlin. So in comparison these costumes look quite… uhm, unfitting for the place that this is supposed to play at? I know, it‘s a modern version ect. but please, this is Berlin and NOT Bavaria or Vienna. Unfortunately I can’t make it to New York, but the good thing is this way noone will see my puzzled face. 😜

Lol, Nightowl, that was my first thought...that those look like Lederhosen.
Never been to Berlin, past or present, so no idea what would have been worn there in that time period.

So now I know! Just like Canadians get associated with Mounties in red serge and maple syrup.
