Hey Y'all! Thanks for the warm welcome yesterday! I felt a small squee when offically greeted by Reimer and just want to THANK YOU you all again for making this a wonderful place! This is my designated rabbit hole for AFL and I come here for all my news, info and opinions. It's got the right mix of intellectual deepness with all the pretty too!
For example, yesterday's conversation got me thinking about the real messages I sent my children. I have a quasi Rainbow Fish bathroom. Originally I got it because it matches the blue of the paint and because I like the silver flashes. OOOhhh Pretty! But after Cassie's Rainbow fish analogy and the further responses of other Atopers, I'm pondering if I sent my children a sublimnal message of the need to conform for acceptance. LOL!! I hope not!!!
I hope they got the value of Fernando the Bull's acceptance of his uniqueness more!

This popped up last week or two weeks ago in a written piece.. I think by a radio station. It was not confirmed. This reporter may have cut and pasted. I'd link the original piece, but I never remember which is which and I also never read everything. |
