So does anyone know have an idea of how much rehearsal and prep time Adam and Queen will put in for this gig? And how much outside professional help will they have?

Love all the press Adam is getting for the Queen gig! So excited for everyone who is going---I will be dying for video.
Anyone notice, have they pulled all the Never Close Our Eyes demos from Youtube? I swear the song was there yesterday, but I just looked now, and there was nothing.

home.nzcity.co.nz/news/article.aspx?id=143824Queen say Adam Lambert will be a "great Interpreter" of Freddie Mercury's songsThe 'We Will Rock You' group confirmed on Monday (20.02.12) they will headline the rock festival in July, with former American Idol contestant Adam taking the place of late frontman Freddie - who passed away in 1991 - and guitarist Brian May is sure he can step up to the challenge.24 February 2012 Speaking at the BRIT Awards, he told BANG Showbiz: "I think all the vibes will be good. And I'm, sure that if Freddie was around, or if he is around then he'll appreciate what we're doing, because its interpreting those songs and those songs should live. "A lot of those songs are Freddie's and you've got a great interpreter there in Adam. It will be challenging - my God, it will be challenging, but you've got to set yourself big hurdles to get over really, that's what life is about." Queen have previously performed with Adam on the final of 'American Idol' in 2009, and again last year at the MTV European Music Awards, where they received the Global Icon trophy. This summer's show is bound to be poignant as Queen played their last ever show with Freddie in 1986 at the same ground in Knebworth as Sonisphere takes place. Drummer Roger Taylor - the other remaining member of the original group - added: "We don't know how we'll feel until we play - really it's a big challenge for us. It's come around in a complete circle. I do remember the sound being absolutely brilliant on the day we played all those years ago on Freddie's last ever show with us and we're hoping we can come somewhere close to that with Adam Lambert who is a phenomenal singer and absolutely amazing talent." Tickets for the show are on sale from nine am on Thursday (23.02.12) from www.sonisphere.co.uk

Is American Idol's Adam Lambert the new Freddie Mercury? Short clip but he was excited about flying in a private jet with Queen :D

Just checked - I had it bookmarked, and yep, it's been pulled. Must mean they're going ahead with it.

Did we ever figure out where the Katy Perry duet rumor came from? Because Adam has clearly said that it was a Bruno written song but that he wasn't singing on the album. What if the collaboration he was crossing his fingers about was with Katy on NCOE? I don't think Katy has much of a voice, but you must admit that radio could not deny this from becoming a huge hit, with both her and Bruno involved.
