I think she meant it like "why oh why must you be gay?! I want you to be my boyfriend" I think you're right.. :D I agree with all of you! No, the question is not politically correct and I can certainly understand why Adam would get tired of hearing it- but we need to look at the intent behind the message. There is a difference between "Why are you gay? I wish you were straight so you could be my boyfriend." and WHY are you gay? (which insinuates that there is something wrong with being gay) I understand Adam's frustration with these types of questions and his answers were A++! At the same time, I'm not ready to jump to the conclusion that this type of question always comes from some ignorant homophobe. IMO, Adam did the right thing by using this opportunity to educate those who might ask questions such as this.

Well said I am a bit hesitant to comment this, but I think Adam has this rare talent of coveying sexual energy the way, that people can suck in and use in their real life relationships, not just to fantasize about having opportunity to be with him. So it doesn't really matter whom he likes in his private life. I remeber one fan commenting that his spouse loved the mood that Adam did put her into. ..... Well said leenaseyez ... sexy is sexy !!

I always found "why are you gay" a really weird thing to say. I'm sure she meant no offense but he must hear it 100xs a day. I find it weird because what difference does it make? Does she think if he was straight she would have a chance with him? It's just such an odd thing to say. I see on Adam's YouTube page all the time "I wish he wasn't gay" "I like him even though he's gay" and even "It doesn't matter that he's gay he's still hot". To me that's insulting. It's insinuating there is something wrong with being gay. It's the same as saying "in spite of the fact your gay which I'll try and over look you're still hot". He gets tweeted this garbage all the time.

I also think Adam responds to tweets that allow him to say something he wants to say, so he must want to make this point right now.

I usually have a Twitter search open for Adam and I see the tweets from young girls ALL THE TIME. And I do think they're exactly that – wishing he can be their boyfriend, but I can also imagine how it must frustrate Adam to see that several times a day for weeks, months, years without getting a little irritated with it. Sincere and innocent or not, the context still has to sting a bit (like telling a heavy girl, "But you have such a pretty face!!") and I'm glad he finally took the opportunity to set these people straight (so to speak ;D).
