And since Adam said no vocal collaboration were recorded -- that puts an end to the rumor that he might do a track featuring Bruno Mars.
ETA: I see that Adam already shot that one down! Lesson -- never miss a day or seven of Adam news!!!

You've been so bust working, Q3, you probably missed it but he has already tweeted that there were no vocal collabs recorded, Feb. 16th Adam Lambertþ@adamlambertReply Rumor control: no duets have been recorded except for Sam Sparro's feature on "Shady". Bruno has WRITTEN a song for the album. #factcheck

I am only at 14:00 in the video but I adore how he hums so beautifully at 13:56. It starts out as a hmmm and turns into a note. So cute.

I don't believe that Brain May would ever approve of animal cruelty, no matter how much it is meant to be used in some symbolic context or to support art. None of us have ever met BM, none of us can of course speak for him, but from anything I have ever read about this man, I am pretty sure this is a very safe bet. Sorry for comment on much earlier post I was just popping in to catch up for the day. OT not Adam related please scroll. Craazy - I don't know if it will make a difference to you - because the 'Closer to God' video is what it is. I am a huge fan of Trent Reznor's, of the song and album - but though I admired the vid much as Adam does, I rarely watched it because of disturbing imagery. (The director Mark Romanek is a serious, thoughtful guy and while his work tends towards dark - he is not a shock for sake of shock type - he did the Johnny Cash 'Hurt' vid as well). But my real point is that while I'm operating off of old memories, I don't believe there was animal cruelty in making the vid. Those ARE rotting animal carcasses that were purchased. The monkey, however, was (if memory serves and I really think it does) with a trainer and there was an ASPCA person on set. He was not actually restrained and editing of natural expressions created the (I agree) distressing image. Trent Reznor is an animal lover - though not a vegetarian and he wears leather which pains some of his more purist fans. Even during his years of avoiding the public eye, he continued to give time and support to animal rescue/protection efforts. In fact, I wasn't able to follow all of Trent's public work in this area because the real cruelty he lent attn to was far more than I could handle. So if you hate the vid, I certainly understand that, but didn't want you to think Reznor would actually hurt an animal for it. (i'll slink away now :-/) Thank you very much for your answer and insight. I totally appreciate it and quite interesting what you say: First of all, I do love the song, but I don't know much about their music or the group, so I only reacted to the video itself. I don't hate the video, but do I find it disturbing? Yes, I do. Not only because of the implied animal cruelty, but also because I don't get it. What is he trying to say with these images? It's not like he uses those images in some kind of anti-cruelty PSA or something. He just puts all these images out there and leaves it at that. Unreconciled with the song lyrics and without interpretation. Yes, I can see how you want to portrait sex as very animalistic and raw - that matches with the lyrics. But are those the kind of images you could visualize and keep it sexy? Well at least for me that would totally be a turn-off. So when Adam mentions this as a sexy video, he just loses me. Sexy music, yes of course, that I get. By the way, I think that Adam does not have an evil bone in his body towards animal or person alike, it's not that simple, of course. But do I understand what goes through his head with something like this? Nope - I don't get it. And that is all, I was trying to say. I didn't think anyone concerned for animal welfare was going to like these images sent out into the universe and I am obviously imposing my thinking on Brian May, when I assume that he, the animal lover, would not like it either. The whole thing started really differently, with a praise for Brian then somehow that sidetracked into this story, because I used it as an example of overcoming differences in opinion or viewpoint and the topic of tolerance. Now about Brian and Adam: I generally do sense a lot of difference between the ascetic and scholarly and scientifically thinking meticulous and gentle character of Brian and the much more life filled, sensual, instinctive and emotional, charismatic but multifaceted Adam. And that probably came through in pointing to that example. That is why I asked whether anybody had read Narcissus and Goldmund by Hesse, because that is exactly the two characters he contra-poses in that book. Of course the setting is different, it plays in some imaginary medieval world, but the actual character juxtaposition presented in the book is very much representative of Brian and Adam. (btw, if you look it up on Wikipedia, forget the synopsis, it is a mess, but the next section called 'Themes' is much more on target and you will see what I mean). Anyhow, I really want to thank you for giving me your insight on how this video was created. It helps to hear that nobody or no animal was harmed - at least I hope so. It sure looks realistic as hell and can send a wrong message, tbh, so I still find it disturbing. But I will be sure to not extrapolate from there to NIN or Trent Reznor, so I appreciate the insight on that.

Is it just me that thinks Adam looks softer, sweeter, and more beautiful since he has been in love with Sauli. He has always been beautiful to me but since Sauli, he just glows and is so translucent and sweet and kinda gushy. He seems calm and serene. Am I just imaging these things, or is it real? Anybody else see what I see?
