Question...so I see ppl on twitter flailing over HAC adds but say it's still dead on pop and we should still get a new single.
Now not trying to angst, I am SO HAPPY OMG at what we do have, but I am not sure how this all works. If it gets higher in HAC will that help it move along in pop? If it does well will that be incentive for pop to start spinning it? I mean I always felt like it's perfect for pop even if it isn't a club banger sooo I am wondering if everyone thinks they will stick with this for a while now and try to get it as high as possible or still do a different single with better chance at capturing the pop spins that really sell a track and help with his album sales.
??????????????????????????????????

I think they will stick with BTIKM for now because it's moving up and if it gets high enough on HAC, it should cross over to Pop. They moved the album back to give it time. I think they will still drop a new single a couple weeks before the album comes out!

It is NOT dead on Pop!! Whoever is saying that on Twitter is an idiot. Dead would be losing spins and dropping spots on the chart! Going up 3 spots and having a station like Boston's KISS add it is far from dead!!! And to answer your question, "Yes" many big pop stations wait until certain songs reach a certain spot on HAC before they add. For most it is Top 20. For some, it is Top 10. Some stations will even wait until it hits a certain point on Top 40 before they add it to their station! As an example, KIIS Los Angeles, didn't add Kelly's Stronger until a few weeks ago when it reached #1 on one of the Billboard charts! Pretty sure they never added MKIA! But KIIS LA is an extreme example : Also, IMO, I think there will be a 2nd single out before the album, but right now is too soon. I would say 3rd - 4th week of March would be perfect!

I wonder what's the possibility they would drop the second single in another country first? Does that happen often? Also is there a process of getting to hear a preview, becoming available on itunes, etc. before a second single is sent to radio too? Or is that normally just for first singles?

Ok - We only have one sure-fire add for tomorrow (Sirius). However, we *do* have un-added spinners on Top 40 and in Canada:
Station / Spins LW / Format / Market / Label / Owner / Market Rank / Phone Sirius Hits Pub 13 Top 40 >SiriusXM 19/RCA SiriusXM 0 212-584-5100 WPST-FM Pub 6 Top 40 Trenton, NJ 19/RCA Nassau Broadcasting Partners LP 143 609-419-0300 WKCI-FM Pub 5 Top 40 New Haven, CT 19/RCA Clear Channel Communications 118 203-281-9600 CHOZ-FM Pub 4 Canada-Hot AC St. John's 19/RCA Newfoundland Broadcasting Company, Ltd. 19 709-726-2922 CKPT-FM Pub 2 Canada-Hot AC Peterborough 19/RCA Bell Media 0 705-742-8844 WMGB-FM Pub 2 Top 40 Macon, GA 19/RCA Cumulus 157 CIQM-FM Pub 1 Canada-Hot AC London 19/RCA Astral Media 10 519-686-2525 CKIX-FM Pub 1 Canada-Top 40 St. John's 19/RCA NewCap Broadcasting 19 709-726-5590 WXXL-FM Pub 1 Top 40 Orlando 19/RCA Clear Channel Communications 35 407-916-7800
Boston was an absolute gift. No idea what tomorrow may bring - it may just be Sirius - but I'm looking forward to it!! :D :D :D

I am actually astounded that my Orlando station has apparently spun the song. They were SOOOOO late to the party with both WWFM and IIHY and dropped WWFM significantly the second it peaked with IIHY being dropped COMPLETELY literally the day the bullet turned negative. I was hopeful that they would do better this round because last summer when there was still talk of the album coming out in November they suddenly started playing WWFM again a couple of times a day. Keeping my fingers crossed but if they do add it probably won't be until next week. I'm not counting on tomorrow just on one spin.
