As for the host of the evening, John told PEOPLE that his party serves as a fabulous meet and greet and a chance to watch the Oscars in star company. "At the end of the day, you come away with such happy memories," he said. "I've never met Katy Perry – she's at my table tonight.
That's going to be so much fun. And I've never met Adam Lambert," he continued. "So I get to meet people and get to know them. And hopefully, we become friends.
And for some guests, maybe more. "I can see Kim Kardashian going off with Adam Lambert," John joked."

Overall, the night was a rousing success for Lambert, who was thrilled to sit at the famous host's table. "It's been really lovely," Lambert told PEOPLE of John. "He's hilarious and he's got a dirty sense of humor which I really appreciate in an environment like this. It's great.

Anyway, it's nice to get positive press from People. They didn't have a SINGLE openly gay man in their sexiest man alive issue this year, not even NPH!
