Sorry but I just have to say this after reading some of the comments on the Queen websites. To all the Freddie purists who think Queen should have just stopped being creative and quietly faded away after Freddie's death I say....just LISTEN and WATCH with an open heart the magic up on that stage between Adam and Queen. And experience the pure joy of hearing again the amazing music you so love and miss filling the concert stage!!  |

I wish Adam would put something special on ebay (like one of his sketches) with the proceeds going to Charity Water. I see only 3 donations today so far and a total of 2 yesterday. Something is needed to jump start this - I don't think our challenge will do it. Sorry to not be positive about this. I hope I'm wrong!!!I think it's partly because there is so much going on right now that we're spending all of our time squeeing. And rightly so! :D Also - many of us are saving our $$$ for travel to concerts & cd purchases. Thanks wal. Makes sense. The challenge doesn't officially start until tomorrow, so I'm sure many people are waiting to make their donation then. I know I am. Yes, people are saving money for travel and concerts, but all we're asking for is a $5 donation. I just spent $5,000 to put a new roof on my house, for Pete's sake, but I will be donating $5, which will be matched by the generous posters here at Adamtopia. We need people to spread the word at every board and social networking site they can think of, and please, everyone, tweet Adam about the campaign. If he would tweet to his 1.36 million followers, I have no doubt it would make a huge difference. But he gets so many tweets that the chances he'll see any one tweet are small. But maybe hundreds of tweets telling him about the Leap Day challenge would get his attention. do we know if @charitywater retweeted Q3's tweet to them? They have close to 1.4 MILLION followers! I don't see it on their page, but since they have slightly more followers than Adam does, like him they probably get a lot of tweets to wade through. Maybe if we all tweeted them, they would see it and retweet. |
