You know, if somehow they managed to find Freddie's DNA and clone him, the Hard Core Queen fans would still find fault. Hell, I suspect if Freddie were still around he wouldn't be Freddie enough for them...it's impossible to be compete with a fantasy of perfection.
Adam will kick ass, yet there will still be those who believe Freddie's memory has been besmirched by the mere fact that Queen is performing at all instead of them sitting 30 years of shiva.
Can't win 'em all.

Oh, I see you're from Moscow, lucky you:))) 1. Some Queen fans are dissing Adam everywhere, not only in Russia, so... we'll , and more importantly Adam, have to deal with it. I'm actually more worried about fans dissing other fans, these fan wars are so unfortunate and besmirch their idol. I know we have to deal, I just don't like people hating each other over their own passion :( Thank you, I wait to see Adam impatiently (like a true fan, h-m-m-m... may be I'm a bit nuts too : ) But Adam was well received at Maxidrom and had good reviews. Remember, the people there will have bought tickets. That means they want to be there. Thank you, mys*&@^#r As for Adam I know everybody will be mesmerized by his voice and Queen's fans here a bit ignorant but not hostile, at least for now. So I'm not too worried for him

Adam Lambert' fans @adamlambertruab Reply Retweet Favorite · Open Interview of Bakeev Eldar, the organizer of the concert @adamlambert & @queenwillrock in Moscow at the Russian (cont) tl.gd/g5u67fwww.twitlonger.com/show/g5u67fIT'S A VERY LONG ARTICLE It is a bit lengthy, but worth the read. I think you'll like this part (they also talk about when ticket sales begin): Bakeev: I've seen clips of his participation. I saw Queen & Adam collaboration on EMA. This is a man very close to Freddie. He inwardly, internally very close to Freddie. He is also a great expert, and he has the same sexual orientation. And he does not hide and I think that's a plus, because it is a kind of disinhibition, very nervous, deep penetration into the material. And yet, I really like that he keeps his distance. It just shows that he is not going to copy Freddie. That's what I like. He is very respectful for the musical material, and Adam shows sometimes that he can easely sing as Freddy technically. But he re-reads and displays his own attitude. In this sense, I’m looking forward to this concert eagerly, because I think it would be very cool. Especially because we all know that Queen are a perfectionists. Each unit is approved, each lamp is adopted. They are going to do a serious show. They said: "All that will be not find in Russia, will be bringing with them abroad" And etc. So we are waiting for a big concert for 26 thousand spectators. This will be a dance concert. There will be a big fan zone, a large dance floor, will be VIPzone as well. This will be on Olympic Arena.

Apparently this where Adam & Queen will be "warming up" in Moscow! WOW!!! It's a kind of magic I want this translated into Adam's solo career. Do I need magic for that? Nah, Adam's going to get there. But, just in case, lol:

From twitter - @fanforfans: TVGuide is reporting that @adamlambert will be performing on Amercian Idol's March 15th episode!ETA: I think TVGuide is wrong. Daughtry is supposed to be performing on 3/15. They do have 2 guests per show, but not usually 2 Idols. However, isn't this the week Adam is doing some radiio gigs? Well, seems like Daughtry took Adam's place at the AMAs because the album wasn't ready so maybe Daughtry is taking this slot also because the album isn't being released on 3/20. Daughter will be on tour beginning March 20 Think his first show is in Canada Got my dh tickets for March 21 I'm not going cause if it's not Adam, it's just boring. ETA: just added this to help with the AI timeline

But as we've seen time and time again, winning "Idol" does not necessarily mean that one's career will follow the trajectories of Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood. As "American Idol" season 11 moves forward with its Top 24 (well, technically 25) contestants this week, we examine which contestants have had the greatest post-"Idol" success out in the wider waters of the music industry. 9. Adam LambertAlbum Sales: 1,013,000 Track Sales: 4,527,000 Radio Plays: 438,000 YouTube Plays: 81,912,740 "Idol" season eight runner-up has arguably made more of a name for himself than eventual winner Kris Allen. Glambert released the No. 3-debuting "For Your Entertainment" in 2009 (becoming the first openly gay pop singer to sign to a major label), which spawned three singles on the Hot 100, and will put out his sophomore effort, "Trespassing," in March.

Just entered the Nashville contest for March 9th. You enter online and have to re-enter once each day. They do ask for a lot of info, including your age and address, but didn't see any mention of having to be local. Anyway, it's worth a try! Me too. I looked at the station's general contest rules & they're pretty ambiguous. Eligibility varies with each contest & there's something about being within the Arbitron listening area. Don't have a clue. I lied a little bit about my age, but I don't think that matters. : Good luck to you bamafan!
