' Guitarists just operate a machine. Singers are human and irreplaceable" LOL REALLY DUDE? REALLY? Tell me what I'm feeling when Jimmy Page or Brian May or Jimmy Hendrix or B B King or Santana , to name just a few, because Oh lord I looooove guitar solos, and the feeling I have is like their guitar is talking to me, crying, laughing, being angry. Sorry you know shit about music. I think that guy just made his whole article invalid just with that sentence.. What a douche.. And of all the sentences, that is the sentence that was put in bold!

BTW, the new song Brian May collaborated on with Dappy is a smash

Lol, I actually squinted through most of that NME article and the writer really comes across like a sanctimonious ass, IMO. The irony is, the magazine places the sidebar with Adam's quotes basically saying, "This isn't about replacing anyone, duh! : " right next to the guy's tirade about how you can't replace people. Tee hee. Whatever, dude! Keep thinking in your one-dimensional, snobby ways and be happy listening to your recordings from 20+ years ago. Others might like to hear the music live again and interpreted anew by two of the original creators and a fresh, innovative, incredibly talented musician. ETA: I see while I was typing this, the better pics were posted. And yes, ITA about the guitar quote too. What a maroon. :

What a maroon. : The irony for me is that Freddie doesn't even sound as good live compared to his recordings. So what is he comparing exactly? Eta: btw no slam on Freddie. Love him!! Just that recordings and stage performances are completely different. I think is vocal recordings far out shone his live vocal performances. With that said, I think he owned the stage when he performed live.

I know that everybody has their opinion and all but this dude from NME can't even find a valid argument to support his point. Under "Guitarists just operate a machine. Singers are human and irreplaceable" - I read "I know better what is good for Queen and who is Brian May to tell me otherwise". It's arrogant and ignorant.

Good night jamie! And yes I think you're right, maybe it's a missing quote or something, Adam sometimes forgets things, he DOES live a crazy life and I can totally understand it, but meeting Fergie on idol, I don't think it's one of those moments he could possible forget. He mentioned it more than once and he was proud of that moment. I think Adam keeps comments about other musicians/celebs as much in the present as he can at each given interview. A way to keep it real (and avoid mistakes). He also did not mention knowing Katy before ... That is a very good way of dealing with questions ... your answers are less likely to come back and bite your ass ... "well, that was what I thought THEN ... NOW I have a different artistic vision ... " (LOL not dissing him, I admire how he deals with being human in the glaring light of the public/media) ETA: Adam can not reveal with whom he is working ... IMO he is very good at this game thanks to whoever. If you ask a celebrity about their relations in 30+ words, d't expect a truthful answer. Is there an exasperated smiley? [going to check)
