Where do you request at Mix 102.9? They used to list BTIKM on the side under 'Top 5 at 5', but stopped listing it and have WWFM instead. ??? Is it advantageous to request WWFM if that's all they have listed? Thanks! I keep forgetting to edit that station out, but it defintiely does not hurt to request WWFM, IF they do not have BTIKM listed.  |

Hey guys............whew...........Just got back from NY. I attended my mom's funeral on 3/3, my birthday. My brothers scheduled everything, so I am not going to complain. Besides she will be such a sweet memory every birthday. I talked to my oldest brother, he said get your ass to the UK. So I went on-line today to purchase tickets from Sonisphere. Well every flipping ticket sold except family and camping. What a disappointment. So hubby says, let me search for aftermarket tickets. Well we purchased 2 for standing only on Ticketmaster UK for pick-up at the box office on the day. I am taking my friend from Wales with me. Now my husband has booked my flight, 7/3-/7/9. Wanted longer, but didn't have enough frequent flyer miles. I used my miles for my DD to fly and return to Argentina for her semester abroad. So my hubby used his miles 75,000 plus taxes and fees for that time, otherwise, I wouldn't get any flight using frequent flyer miles. Purchasing a ticket was just way too much. what a good husband. So now on to getting a hotel for 7/6 near Knebworth. Whew So now hubby has one more job to do. Now the standing, hmmm.....................and peeing..............hope all goes well. YAY!!!!!!! So happy you are going!!!!!!!!  (WOW!!!!! Amazing that it is sold out! Woo-Hoo!))))) |

Adamme - I been saying this from the beginning! The US is just too big a market for Queen to ignore. They HAVE to do some dates here. But it's a question of timing - if Adam does his own tour this fall, he can't possibly break away from that to sing with Queen. Queen will have to wait for Adam's availability, which may be 2013. I really truly believe this is going to happen! And I will absolutely BE THERE. ;D That's what I say. Adam and Queen in the US, NYC and Los Angeles in 2013!!!  I would be totally on board with that, but I do wonder what size venue they might fill? From my crash course in Queen history, I remember seeing that the 2005/2006 US tour didn't do as well as hoped. The Queen documentary also went into how Queen "lost" the U.S. after the music video for I Want To Break Free came out, with all the bandmembers cross-dressing in it, and MTV banned the video in 1984. |

we were last for photos & he just kept talking & talking
Oh and the dragon in the IIHY video was not symbolic. One of his friends just showed up in it- it's not that deep- no hidden meaning

Just returned home. Emotionally drained. I think there were about 40 people at the i93 show. Adam was fashionably late as usual. We waited outside (where it was very hot 80) when they did the sound check and I really couldn't hear a thing.
When we went in, the stage was set up with 2 chairs. Adam came in: let me stop here for a minute; he is more gorgeous than I remembered and sooo very, very young looking. His smile could melt icebergs; I could listen to him talk all day, his sweetness shines through his spoken words. TOTALLY unassuming. He is his own best PR person. Back to the story; he sang BTIKM with Kevin on guitar - beautiful. Then he sang WWFM. There is nothing like hearing him live. Everyone who has been to a concert understands this. My hope is that EVERY Adam Labmert fan is able to hear him sing live at least once. I know nothing about music but his voice is so pure - it draws you into his world. And right now, his world is fabulous if his demeanor is any indication
Again, back to the story...After the 2 songs,(was being entitled and hoping for more, of course) we had our pictures taken with him, in two's. I managed to tell him I was going to Sonisphere, he said Oh good or something to that effect and our picture was over. I know I looked at him as I was talking but I truly remember nothing else AND I had prepared myself for this. I think he is so disarming without meaning to be that I lost any thought of what I was supposed to be looking at or for ie lips, freckles, eyes. Way too short but oh so sweet.
On the way out Kevin talked to us and was a true gem. What a nice guy he seems to be; I can see why Adam picked him for the band. He asked my name, told me to tweet him and he'd answer if only a word or two. Think he likes twitter as much as Adam. He said when he was growing up and following bands or singers, it would have been so great to feel connected with them and now he can through twitter. Super guy.
Sad the day is over but thankful I had the opportunity to see Adam live. Sorry I couldn't mention Leap Day...we'll just have to hope he somehow knows about it and I bet he does.
This will probably be my longest post ever (or at least till after Sonisphere.) If I forgot anything crutial and remember it, I'll add it later. I thought about you all, I really did. How much fun would it be for all of us to go to the same concert. I know, not possible, but it would be so wonderful to share this feeling of joy with truly like minded friend. Tonight I'll work on how to bring over pictures. That should be a challenge. Love, light and peace to each of you.
