Adam spent an hour, on air, this afternoon (from 5:00 to 6:00) with Blake Hayes from Houston's Mix 96.5. Here's a brief recap, but first let me say that Blake was like a kid in the candy store - he was so excited to have Adam in the studio and Adam is now following him on Twitter. Also, at one point when they came back on the air after playing several minutes of commercials, Blake hollered out "please send Adam back in here with me! People have him out in the hallway taking more pictures!"
1. First, Blake commented that Adam had worked with some really great people, like GaGa. Adam commented yes he had and that GaGa wrote Fever & that there was a little whiskey involved when he recorded Fever and she was in the studio with him.
2. Next they played WWFM and Adam introduced it.
3. Blake said to Adam "you were on stage in Houston 8 years ago; tell us about that." Adam: Yes I was in "Brigadoon" w/TUTS (Theater Under the Stars). It was during this time in Houston (note: Adam was in Houston about a month, I think), that Adam said he earned his equity (?) card. (I'm not sure exactly what that is.)
4. Blake mentioned the Bruno track on the album & Adam said he recorded it last week. They talked about who's hair was taller, Bruno's or Adam and Adam said he saw Bruno at the AMAs and told him that Bruno's hair was higher! He said Bruno had a good sense of humor.
5. Blake started talking about Adam's fans and Adam said that he had SUCH a supportive fanbase and he appreciated us so much and that often WE know him better than he knows himself. LOL
6. Next, before Blake played BTIKM, Adam talked about the meaning of the song as he usually does but started w/it's about once the "honeymoon phase" is over. After the song finished, Blake commented that he LOVED the song.
7. Next he said they were going to talk about what was on Adam's ipod and that he was going to hit "shuffle" and see what comes up. The song was "Stronger" by K. Clarkson. Adam commented that she was such a great singer and that she could "SANG!"
8. Blake then said that the rodeo was in town and that maybe they should go there tonight since Adam was wearing some boots; said Enrique Iglesias was the performer for the night and Adam said "let's go; we can get some funnel cakes." A LOT of laughing ensued.
9. Adam then left and Blake thanked him for the Mix Lounge performance and for being with him on air for the past hour and closed by saying that Trespassing would be out by May.

When it disappears suddenly like that, does that mean the song will be played next? To answer your question...it's impossible to tell. Sometimes it gets to number one and then just...vaporizes. Then just as suddenly, it reappears, for no obvious reason. I dated a guy like that once...  |

When Misha called to tell me she scored tickets to the Star94 promo, I let out a loud squee. My DH who was in the garage talking to an auto mechanic, ran inside and knew exactly what happened as he has also been diligently calling for tickets. He is so happy for me! Still cannot believe it. A million thanks to you Misha.  I will continue to call and maybe score tickets for others. Misha received an email from the station which stated that no cameras will be allowed and Adam will not be signing autographs! WUT???? >:( >:( And I was planning to bring my banner for him to sign. Oh well, I count my blessings and this is HUGE! I hope I remember to breathe and take in every detail (doubt it). ;D ;D I'd say bring the banner anyway and ask about getting it signed as it is for a group event. That's my thought, too. All they can say is "no" and I bet Adam would overrule them; he's done it before! LOL |

Awww...thanks mys*&@^#r and stardust! My pleasure. I told hubby I had a bit of a headache and was going to go upstairs and lie down a bit before I got dinner ready (that's where the radio is). LOL He bought it hook, line and sinker. But when you are as far down the rabbithole as I am, you just do what ya gotta do!
ETA: Readon! So glad you got to hear Adam this afternoon. What a great way to pass the time as you drive home.

Mayumi - When he finds out you are THE Atlanta Atop - Hostess with the Mostess - Adam will sign the banner and probably other things as well - Guess we will have to replace BAMA's throw with a larger than life picture of you and ADAM - Don't forget to breathe and SMELL and HUG - Then go home and "frame" the clothes you wore so that we all ooh and aah in a few weeks. I hope that Misha and you have a Blast. How kind of her to include you. This will be first M&G for both of you right? Know you feel like an excited schoolgirl. 2012 is rocking in your world! |
