I just want to reiterate that the last few times there have been reports of angry/rude hordes/swarms of crays/Glamberts lecturing/correcting DJs or paps, it is a few supposedly sane fans tut-tutting or spreading that meme when IN REALITY IT NEVER HAPPENED. For months, when I see something about this on my twitter feed or here at Atop, I go to the source to see for myself--it's easy--and, guys, it just has NOT happened, not for a VERY long time.
All you have to do is read the person's @replies to see for yourself--and when that person says they are being overwhelmed with responses, sometimes I've counted about ten. It seriously makes me wonder how lonely these guys are!
I think the fandom has matured amazingly over the last few years--or maybe the truly cray/rude twitter fans from the past have been lectured/schooled enough by more reasonable fans that they've learned not to do it anymore.

Totally agree. I mean really he has 1.3 M followers and sometimes there are a dozen replies. seriously? We've come a long way baby! Now if the fans could learn not to RT nasty stuff, or at least take out the @.....

There is so much to learn. so much to inspire. It can be a profoundly moving experience and I'm so glad Adam and Sauli are taking it in.

LOL I do notice these 'reporter' are very sensitive on twitter. Then they get defensive, say something nasty and start a storm. At one point I kind of thought TK and this guy were one & the same.....still wonder. On the other hand, I cannot believe after all this time the angry glamberts have not learned not to engage. I do think it is much, much better and therefore am surprised, but it get them more hits & RTs. I wonder if the papz/reporter vs fans scenarios like these play themselves out in every fandom... I am thinking that the "reporters" should be used to this stuff...Is there anything "special" in our reaction that other fandoms do not display? I can't speak for other fandoms, although some have a huge twitter presence and make us look like kittens, lol. But I think Twitter is a relatively new phenomenon and if someone isn't familiar with how connected and in-tune fans are, a bunch of tweets that seems mild to us might seem like a barrage ;D

For a reporter not used to getting much reaction to his tweets, this guy might have been shocked by the response he got from Glamberts. Remember, it may not seem like much to us, but we're used to the extremes. We may not think it's much. but it is all relative.
ETA: LOLOL NoAngel!

If I all of a sudden got 10 tweets about somehting I had just tweeted, I would think it was a lot too!

I just remember back awhile ago when there truly were dozens & dozens of retorts, and yes when he had no clue what was coming it probably was surprising. The reach of twitter is shocking sometimes.
