2012 marks the 50th anniversary of James Bond films -- which started in 1962 with Dr. No, starring Sean Connery as Bond. As of 2012, there have been twenty two films in the Eon Productions series, with a twenty third, Skyfall, due for release on 26 October 2012.

There have been 6 film Bonds:

Sean Connery
George Lazenby
Roger Moore
Timothy Dalton
Pierce Brosnan
Daniel Craig

And Daniel Craig is great. But I think that it is time for an update – a 21st Century Bond. So who should be the 7th "Double Oh Seven"? My answer is (of course) Adam Lambert.

Now I realize that most people think Adam is better suited to sing the next Bond theme song. But I am serious. Here are my 10 reasons Adam Lambert should be then 7th James Bond.

1. Adam knows how to deal with “Dr. No”. Seriously, think about it. People have been saying “NO” to him for years.

2. He can do a ninja roll – perfect for a fake movie fight scene with mysterious agents of Bonds arch enemy.

3. Adam drinks vodka martinis. He will just need to drink them shaken, not stirred.

4. Bond needs to look great in black.

5. He recently had a new piece of custom jewelry made, a gold finger cover. So he has a “Goldfinger”.

6. He looks great in a dinner jacket.

7. Adam could single handedly redefine the title “Thunderball”.

8. He is already scheduled to do a concert in Russia and can send a message of love from Russia – you know, “From Russia with Love”.

9. Adam is a keen birdwatcher and James Bond was named after American ornithologist James Bond, a Caribbean bird expert and author of the definitive field guide Birds of the West Indies. (Part if this is really true.)

10. James Bond is sauve and sophisticated. active internationally, dangerous, good-looking, woman cannot resist him … sound like someone you know?

And in my Bond film – Adam is not only the star, he also is the first Bond to also sing the movie’s theme song.
