Hoopla,
So glad you got to enjoy an Adam promo event!
You asked "Did anyone do a plain Adam Lambert twitter search today?" Yes, when I got home from work, I searched Adam and Kansas and that's how I found
@taylorrh on twitter and started posting her tweets that she had videos from the 99.7 promo. Yay for her tweeting her 3 videos so we got to hear Adam too! There are probably more posts on facebook for us to find.
You also asked "Then tonight he was somewhere? in KC for the 99.7ThePoint gig."
Looks like Adam might have been here for the 99.7 promo:

OMG, HE WAS AT THE GRANFALLOON!!! The bar named after Kurt Vonnegut's
Wampeters, Foma and Granfalloon!!! that I am VERY familiar with (went there on Sundays for brunch and mimosas more times than I could count in the 80's-90's)!!! that I wish I had known about earlier yesterday so I could've driven there after Lawrence!!!
Granfalloon: That is, it is a group of people who outwardly choose or claim to have a shared identity or purpose, but whose mutual association is actually meaningless. The name fits the bar, but Adam-fans...not-so-much, as our association is
anything but meaningless!
VALILAC, thank you so much for finding those vids of 99.7 that took place there! I am pissed that I have so much to do in RL right now, because I wanna spend the whole day wallowing in Adamland and SEARCHING FOR VIDS OF LAWRENCE (105.9)!
But I have three appointments today, so I'll just have to come back later to look...
If anyone has time to do tweetgrid today with plain Adam Lambert in the search box, THAT is how peeps from Lawrence will post any vids they took--no one I talked to is part of a fan club, many NOT on Twitter, but most talked about FB and I don't even know how to look on FB for specific info...darn radio station...why didn't they videotape???
I did re-read end of yesterday's thread and just wanna say:
*thanks to EVERYONE for congrats--yours was BIG GELLY, LOL--very appropriate, cause it was definitely an ALL CAPS DAY FOR ME!
*Lynne, you're right about your young friend--easy for me to say I wouldn't do a certain thing--I forgot how many years I put up with dismaying circumstances in my own family because it was FAMILY and you just have to try to make it work. It took me DECADES to give up on a particular person because our relationship is toxic, even though the whole time I was trying to figure things out, she was making me feel horrible. So, you are very wise--he'll have to make decisions when he's ready.
* and Heathcliff (a new member?) I read what you said about being depressed by the comments about radio. I know what you mean...I don't like it either. And although Adam just said it like he was stating a fact yesterday, I DO think he's surprised at the reality and I DON'T think he likes it. BUT here's what I hold onto...
Adam's smart. He learns as he goes. He makes good choices from a place of confidence and positivity. So WHILE he still holds pop stardom as his goal, I'm sure he will play the game to the best of his ability and see how it works out.
I want everything he wants--
pop hits on regular heavy radio rotation and a well-financed sold-out arena tour, i.e. pop icon status--FOR HIS SAKE.
I truly dislike the radio games--the arbitrary nature of what gets heard by the masses, the arrogance and power of owners/PDs, etc. And I much prefer seeing him in intimate settings MOST of the time. (Although Moscow and Knebworth are going to RULE and I'm so happy for those who get to witness those shows!)
But if he wants/needs radio play and arenas to continue making music/fulfill his biggest dream--I will do whatever I can to help.
IF, at some point, it compromises his artistic integrity too much or if his current path seems like an unrewarding proposition, I'm sure Adam will forge a new path. I just HOPE it always involves making HIS music and singing and performing live for as long as I live.
But I don't get depressed, because even though I do think he faces...
*SOME homophobia (which enrages me)
*SOME disdain from SOME too-cool-for-school radio peeps
*SOME fear from just being different--exceptional voice, physically beautiful, smart and articulate and confident human being...that scares insecure people and arouses feelings of envy, I'm sure...
EVEN THOUGH he faces these problems and probably more we don't know about...
Adam likes a challenge, and I think he's up to it.
I'm just happy he at least has a shot at his big dream and
I TRUST HIM COMPLETELY TO DO WHAT SUITS HIM BEST.
FYI, I put your recap on page 1
