I like Trespassing best then Cuckoo. I love Cuckoo but in the US at least the 'F' word is always going to be a problem. I think he says it twice and I think it will spoil it with bleeps and I don't know any sensible word choice to change it to. My third choice for a single would be 'Chokehold'. Naked Love I felt was just another BTIKM and will grow on me like that song did but on first listen I thought Generic pop. NCOE sounds to me like Bruno not Adam. I'm going to be so disappointed if a song Adam didn't write is the next single. Maeve94 over at Adam Without Pity suggested "Walk that walk like you won't give it up." I think that's pretty good and it would be easy to dub in the line for radio play. It's certainly as good as "Less than, less than perfect," which is the cleaned-up version of Pink's "Fuckin' Perfect." Cee Lo Green had to majorly change up "Fuck You" for radio play. Doing it for one line in Adam's song would be a cinch. |

I think that's it exactly - the next single needs to be what radio wants. As much as I like "Naked Love," I cannot fathom RCA trying to sell Adam singing "Your naked love is what I'm dreaming of" to radio right now and getting that to fly. I do not see that happening. Wish I could, but I don't. And "Trespassing" doesn't sound like anything else on the radio right now, to me. I'm certain it will be NCOE. It's his best shot, IMO. I think it's his best shot as well. Fun to think of Adam performing Naked Love in concert, but as far as radio play, I don't think so. And really, so what if Bruno wrote NCOE since that seems to be the main complaint about it - it is Adam singing and that's what's important. If it can HIT BIG - then I want it for him. 8-) And truth be told, I see a lot of Adam fans saying they hate what's being played on radio, so maybe we are not the best judge of what will be a hit and what won't. *ducking now* ;D That would be me. I'm not in love with any of these songs, but I never expected to be. I am not the target audience. They DO sound better and with more substance than a lot of the songs I hear. I really do not like the bass drum sound on Trespassing--it bugs me because it is very electronic and dry sounding. |
