Just had my co-worker listen to the snippets. She is 26 and mainly listens to pop and top 40 and isn't very familiar with Adam. Her response was:
"I really like them.. especially Never Close Our Eyes and Tresspassing.. Definitely going on my Iphone for workout music! =)"

I woke up with Naked Love in my head. Have been dancing around to it for the last few hours. I just love this song. I think that it captures another part of his personality, in as much as Trespassing is fierce, and Cuckoo is so full of swagger. Naked Love is all happy, cupcakes and rainbows. I love it, even though I think it's a bit of a departure from Trespassing.
I think in order of progression, it should be Trespassing, which is so funky, then Cuckoo which is funky but pop dancey, then you have Naked Love which is all pop dancey. Or release Naked Love, Cuckoo then Trespassing. Or Cuckoo, then the third could be either or.
I loved Cuckoo when I first heard the live version, and still love it, but the studio is lacking that bass/guitar rhythm of the live version.

I also live in Seattle and will be in town on Friday, but didn't win a meet and greet with Adam. I will be looking forward to everyone's recaps/vids as I don't plan to stalk Adam (I think it's a little creepy for me). Sigh. The frustrating part is that the station that is hosting Adam doesn't play BTIKM and hasn't played his music much in the past. Another station which would be a good one for Adam is not having a meet & greet. Heigh-ho, I guess I will have to wait for the next concert!

Confused with BM - hehe ;D IDK about that... what about Jessie J vs Katy Perry? Jessie received plenty of criticism for sounding like katy on Domino. J/S I agree that it wouldn't be a good thing but confused because I don't hear Bruno at all in NCOE ???. It's my least favorite of the snippits but not because it sounds like Bruno lol. And I think it's a decent song, just not better than the other three. |

I just had to stop to squeeeee a little more! I am listening the snippets with headphones and not from computer like yesterday, and they sound even SO MUCH BETTER!!! Trespassing has this bass that I missed totally yesterday.
Anyway, I'm still thinking that NCOE is probably going to be the safest bet for radio play. Bruno connection will probably help with that, and it's a safe choice - but not too safe. It's not special like Trespassing and Cuckoo, but I don't find it boring either.
Still wondering why they picked BTIKM as the lead single... Maybe the other songs were not ready in Dec?
