I've been on #teamnakedlove since before I ever heard it (and yeah I'm not buying Adam's spin on it either LOL) but right now, it's all about getting radio play to pave the way for the next song/s. And IMO for radio play, NCOE is a natural.
I listen to Top 40 radio every day and this song is a perfect fit. I can see it blowing up the charts and becoming one of those songs where we'd groan and say "oh not again" - if it weren't Adam. :D
side note: the DJs don't really talk about who writes the songs. And they rarely comment on lyrics either. In fact, I don't think they even listen to the songs they play.

LOL I was listening and then left and came back and it was gone! Do you think they'll release it soon? If so, is that the end of BTIKM or can he have two songs at once. Obviously, I know nothing! He can release this one to CHR first. HAC moves soooooooooooo slowly, it won't hurt BTIKM on HAC at all! It might even help! OMG thank you mys*&@^#r for saying so! I was thinking that if they release the second single it would stop the first from climbing , and I thought that they wouldn't want to do this! But if the second is meant for CHR (which it will be) then it makes sense to release another one now before the album drops!

To me, the song is kind of nice but nothing special. Definitely not OMG I have to hear that again. But I don't listen to Top 40 every day so I really can't trust myself to pick a radio single. If NCOE is the one, then I am 1000% behind it as the next single! I really like Naked Love but it screams generic pop to me and not something different that could be easily identifiable as an Adam song. I guess I want it all which is probably very unrealistic. I want a hit that has a definite Lambert stamp on it. Doesn't have to be a song he wrote, just has to be him, you know? Fever comes to mind for me from the last era. For me, Trespassing and Cuckoo both have that quality.

Personally, I would looove to have Adam hit them with TRESPASSING first then collect them with CUCKOO. He can do whatever he pleases after that

I went to the hitpredictor site that adam linked last night. I put in the radio info which is a 96.9mix here in the phoenix area for my favorite station. they identify as hot/modern adult contemporary. On the list of recently reviewed songs, was Never Close Our Eyes by Adam Lambert. No other songs by him appeared on this viewable list and I could not open anything else on the site (my ancient laptop) Not sure what that means. Has anyone else seen that when they tried? I agree, NCOE is generic enough to fit in with a lot of other songs I hear on the radio, but definitely not my first pick. Naked Love is my pick.

Woke up this morning with Naked Love in my head. Very surprised, since that's the one I don't like as much as the others. Have to admit it's very earwormy!

Here is the translation of the article in the German “Twist”-magazine that I posted before! 5 Minutes with Adam Lambert The singer completes phrases and tells you some secrets! 1. As a child … … I liked to play dress up. 2. The most beautiful thing that anyone ever said to me … … was “I love you” and it really came from the heart. 3. I’m addicted to … … Shopping. I can’t have enough clothes or download songs. 4. In the morning … … I look at my cell phone first to check my text messages and E-Mails. 5. I can’t live without … … my cell phone! It’s really a problem, I lost it one day and I felt like I couldn’t breathe anymore. 6. My favorite beauty product is … … “Morrocanoil” – an oil that I put in my wet hair after showering. It smells awesome and gives gloss. 7. Before I go on the stage … … I take a deep breath – and I go to the bathroom again. 8. The most embarrassing moment in my life was … … when I fell on stage at the “American Music Awards” 2009 – live on TV! 9. For breakfast I prefer … … Scrambled eggs. 10. My new album “Trespassing” is … … my baby! The songs tell stories of my life and they are very personal. The little text next to the photo says: Adams current single “Better than I know myself” of his second album “Trespassing” is the title-song of the movie “Türkisch für Anfänger”. In summer the 30-year-old will be together on stage with the cult-Rock-band Queen – as their singer!
