Okay lol this is OT but it's so ridiculous I have to share it with you... I just saw this... So the headline is saying " This is Finland's ALAM LAMBERT"... WTH? What "Alam"? Like they don't know his name (even though they write almost everyday about him)... duh. ;D And then the reason why they say this Toni kid is new Adam: because he wears guyliner (and apparently has a "Adam Lambert look") and is going to sing a Queen song in the next episode of Voice Of Finland. I've liked Toni from the beginning but he's voice is nothing compared to Adam's. That's why this article was pretty funny to me - I don't really see anything similar in him and Adam. :D |

Just have to say how much I've loved all the recaps over the last few weeks. Thank you and thanks to all of you who make this such a great place to celebrate Adam. I often wonder what it must feel like to be a person who can give so much happiness to so many people. I know what it is like to make a few people happy, but can't even imagine what it must feel like on Adam's scale. Adam's music and personality resonates to my soul.

I think the difference this time for me was this: Monday he made the "space" feel like he was not in a hurry, like he was just relaxing and settled in for a long chat. I only wish I really HAD been brave enough to ask if I could ride back to KC with them. I'm not kidding. You never get anything you don't ask for! Thank you for this perspective. I’ve been feeling bad about my reaction –which was to just stare at him (like a lemur) and not say a single WORD – when we had our pictures taken at the Boston promo event. Like you say, I was overwhelmed and too star struck. Also, the whole process was very rushed. He was late (the power was out the night before for a good portion of the city so I think there was general chaos that morning) and he had another event to go to after, so they really pushed us through the M&G like a cattle call. The energy wasn’t really conducive to chatting and I’m shy, so I wasn’t assertive about trying for an extra few seconds of contact. I feel better now, realizing that it happens to others (and that I’m not an epic failure!) and I hope that I’ll have another chance when the timing & energy are right. Just to add ,about Knoxville, there were many fans waiting for Adam& we were all told not to be near the entrance to the bus.We didn't listen so the guilt of being naughty didn't help . LOL |
