If there is anyone here in the SF Bay area who wants to see Adam, call Jane the DJ at 97.3, she just gave passes to two of my friends. The number there is 1 800 400 3697!! GOOOOOOOO!!!! I'm not even kidding. She just gave my BFF two passes and my other friend two passes!! Just talk to her. Like now, she seems to be in a very giving mood!! Thank you for this, suebluern!!!! |

Ugh. Why is Entertainment Weekly not on Adam's side anymore? And what the hell does "have chart-topping pomprockers fun stolen his Queen-esque rock mojo?" even mean? Am I the only one who can't make sense of that sentence? "Fun" is the name of the band who sings 'we are young' Okay. But now that I understand that, I still don't get their point. They're saying that this band somehow singlehandedly stole Adam's mojo? I don't get what this band has to do with Adam. Oh, well, it doesn't matter. It's just someone at the magazine looking for an excuse to be snarky to Adam. Fuck 'em. |

Am I the only one who can't make sense of that sentence? fun. = the band that sings the "we are young" song ETA: They are snarkily saying that the place in pop music that used to be/should have been filled by Adam, the place of bombastic Queen-like vocals, has been "stolen" from him by fun. (also a band known for its Queen-like vocals). But whatever. It IS just an excuse to snark. They are giving Elliott Yamin an A- and Adam a C???? It's just ridiculous at this point by any standards. |

They used to like him but it's really apparent something has changed. When they covered the EMA's they didn't even mention Adam with Queen! So weird. They seem to cover other Idol alums if they have a gig at the mall...but epic Queen performance? cricketsI'm just going to shake it off and listen to the snippits and go to my happy place! :D The weird thing is that www.ew.com is just fine towards Adam (for example this: www.ew.com/ew/gallery/0,,20312226_20576542,00.html#21130174 and this: www.ew.com/ew/gallery/0,,20312226_20576542,00.html#21130146) but the magazine has been less than appreciative lately. Maybe they have different people writing in the web and in the magazine... EW is definitely not homophobic as a publication, IMO. There may be a music reporter there who is not in Adam's camp yet. I'm hoping Trespassing will change that! |
