Thank you lynne for that recap it must have been amazing. I keep thinking if I ever meet Adam my mind will probably go blank and I won't know what to say.
So yesterday I tested the snippets on a friend of mine that usually is very into top40. I sent him the 4 songs one by one, told him to listen to them and then tell me which one he liked the most and would grab his attention if he heard it on the radio. After quite a while, he answered me back saying I was not going easy on him because they were all great. He had heard each one already 3 times and still couldn't decide which he liked the most. He ended up saying he had thought Trespassing was his favourite but then he heard Never Close Our Eyes and thought that one was really great too. He could see those on the radio. About Naked Love he said it is great but might not play on some radio stations. After that we got caught up talking about radio and airplay and such so I didn't get time to ask him about Cuckoo. I thought it was interesting that he didn't mention that one.
I have a few more people I want to listen to the snippets, I don't think I can trust myself because first I'm biased, and second my taste is not typical for a 19 year old, my favourite songs are not top40 hits (with only a few exceptions). If my favourite artists chose my favourite songs for singles they would be doomed on the radio (but on the plus side, the quality of top40 radio would probably improve
