This will probably happen in about 3 weeks. It will cost more than the regular because it will have bonus tracks on it. There might be some extras with it also, like a book or something. I would expect that we will get our CDs in the mail on the 20th or a few days before. FYE arrived the Sat. before the release day for me. |

Wooo hooo! Had an unbelievable, wonderful and hilarious ATOP party at Mayumi and Rene's house. So full from the day-after breakfast (groaning happily). We not only had the best company, we had the best food and games and of course - music without compare. Adam - we just love you! Not so OT - here is the recipe some folks wanted. My wonderful one-of-a-kind mother-in-law gave it to me. Virginia's Southern Blueberry Salad Thanks stardust. I will post it there too. 1 6oz pkg raspberry gelatin 1 21 oz can blueberry pie filling 1 8 oz pkg cream cheese 1 C chopped nuts 1 C boiling water 1 81/4 oz crushed pineapple (drained) 1 C sour cream 1 1/2 C sugar Dissolve gelatin in boiling water in a 2qt dish. Add blueberry pie filling and pineapple. Mix and chill until firm. Combine cream cheese, sour cream, nuts and sugar. Spread over firm, chilled gelatin mix. Chill again. Serve and enjoy with food or as dessert. Very simple and easy but oh-so-yummy. I think in a perfect world, if everything had been ready etc..., NCOE should have been the lead single instead of BTIKM. ( hindsight at it's finest  ) Then follow with Cuckoo/Trespassing and things would have really exploded. By the time these three were done then Naked Love could be played no problem. I still think that can happen if the next song takes off but I'm not sure about NCOE now. It's too similar to my ears to BTIKM and WWFM, just faster. I mean it's not mid-tempo but it's in the same vein as those two songs and maybe going with something that has a lot more punch and attitude is the thing to do. I can see why this is a very hard decision. And this is no diss to BTIKM because at the time I thought it was a really good choice. But as it turn out, every one of these new songs is 10x better  . PS: informal poll of 14 yo daughter - liked them all (which surprised me.) I need to have her listen to them again to pick a favorite. I got a similar reaction to NL as your daughter rama. She didn't say anything about radio but both eyebrows went up and she said "oh really, Adam...ooookay" Wow, so much to agree with this morning!!! Kathleenpf, ITA with pretty much every word and Nikki, your post too!! I do like NCOE a lot, but I have been saying it runs the risk of BTIKM2, but couldn't really pinpoint why I thought this, but I think you nailed it, Kathleen. BTW, I do love BTIKM and heard it on radio for the first time ever last night driving home AT MIDNIGHT and it sounded FANTASTIC!!! I had been listening to that station all day long (and have listened to it for years) hoping to win tickets. The level of the song, vocals and how it builds was really at the top echelon of the music I had been hearing for weeks and months and particularly all day. (Adele's songs are quality, of course, but when you hear her four times an hour, they no longer qualify for consideration.) There is no good reason for radio to have scorned it like they have, seriously. Touching on compromise – we all do it. Professionally, most of us have to. As an editor, I don't even think about it – I rewrite our writers' pieces to fit our publication's voice and space all day, every day. It's just part of the editing/copy-fitting process. Very few have ever had issue with it and if they did get kind of pissy, that relationship doesn't usually last long. We have no time for egos here. We're all working so hard and fast and collaboration really does create great work. Sometimes I think that whole "sell-out," "cred" thing was invented by struggling musicians in someone's garage. Of course, I know it likely goes back to starving artists from centuries back when one friend or rival got jealous about a major commission. "What??? He's doing work for the Pope? You know he's agnostic ... sell out!!" After seeing "A Color Purple" last night that was in a venue the size of a large living room with a capacity of maybe about 90, I am truly humbled by the level of talent that is out there. This cast was stellar!! All of them had incredible voices, could act, dance, were beautiful and had amazing charisma. We couldn't imagine how a cast of that level could afford to work for whatever they were making, which could not have been much. I know a lot of theater performers take TV and soap opera jobs to pay the bills and do a back and forth throughout their careers. They make a little money, and then do a project they love. As their name-recognition and notoriety build because of TV, they are able to get better stage roles. I was thinking, if I was a casting director, I'd be trying to book some of the performers from last night, particularly Terrance, who was fantastic. |

A local station here WSTW (93.7) just played WWFM I noted a box station LOCAL CONCERTS coming up underneath Adam's name.
I clicked because I honestly thought it would be Q102 gig
Well it has
MAY 19th at Comcast Center, college Park, MD
anyone have info on this? Is it a Jungle Ball gig?
