Mia 3DMint3D @riinukka Katri was interviewing ToosaTV and sent greets to Sauli, so "there won´t be "real" IS-tutka today".. Sauli has been spotted in LA If true, this just makes me so happy. If he's in LA, we'll hopefully see him in the audience Thursday! |

I can't believe the fan art that is circulating this morning and apparently tweeted all night long to Tommy. They must have missed Adam's tweet about the crazies. I hope that it doesn't get to a point where he deletes his twitter account. Sigh. He wont. Today he tweeted this : @tommyjoeratliff: just figured out how to block the haters! awesome!  |

Hi folks. I haven't been around much lately. A belated welcome to all the new posters and a happy birthday to all I missed. Heading on vacation on Friday so will be MIA for another week. Thank God I won't miss Adam's AI appearance.
I'm curious. Has anyone heard any announcements about other AI alum performing on the show?
Totally OT, but I was at the doctor's office and read something about Beiber patting an adult female star's butt. WTF? Can't find anything in the news about it though..................

Wonder what their music will be like? What a mindf**k to go from In'tl tour and BSC adoring fans to playing somewhere for $5 cover. At least they are playing music. I think professional musicians are used to this. Look at how many bands Isaac has played for and he is still woriking with several of them. Most of them are working on several projects at the same time. Monte is doing his small club shows after playing for Madonna and Adam but he is also putting out an album on his own. Tommy is playing with Monte, will probably play on his album, writing music for Mouthlike (his band with Mike) and now he is playing with Isaac and Ravi Dhar. Probably it's not an easy life between the big tours, though. It's true. I have a family member who's a professional drummer and who's currently playing with three big, established bands here. It's not like they all have gigs ot tours at the same time, so he can juggle them all. Apart from those, like Monte, Tommy, Isaac etc. he is doing little gigs on his own, in small clubs AND he does session work for other musicians, as well. |

I found the article on West Hollywood to be very interesting, and in fact intend to do a close follow-up to the story. It seems to be a good indicator of the life-style changes occuring in the gay community at large. The place has a specific cultural reputation, of course, and I have often wondered if the fact that Adam came from that particular WeHo life-style might have been yet another stigma he had to overcome to be accepted in the rarified, cliquish world of show busines in L.A. To me, WeHo has always been a source of jokes and ridicule in the show biz world, among comedians and such. Adam even made a joke about it at Upright. From time to time I brave a visit to Data Lounge Forum to lurk and learn, and its a fascinating place to observe the gay lifestyle from the sidelines. These individuals are passionate and opinionated. The dialogue on this forum makes it very clear that the older stereotypical lifestyle of WeHo is considered unacceptable to many, many posters there , that promiscuity is being replaced by monogomy as the living model of young gay men. Older gay men at DL still seem to support the gay bar/bath-house scenarios and Adam, of course, has referenced the generational differences in the gay community many times. Anyway, geting a bit off topic here. I would love to hear some comments about WeHo from those in the know, specifically in terms of Adam and his quest for sucess in L.A. Could it have been a detriment?
You see, this is what Adam has done to me: two years ago I never would have thought that I would read gay forums, follow drag queens and be ready to go to battle for gay equality. Its all actually pretty cool. THIS, especially the bold part - except I have only been to data lounge a few times a while ago:-). I didn't know anything about We Ho until now except having heard the term. Good conversation and interesting. Have no clue on this in relation to Adam? Welcome danilo, glammax and csharpminor! Happy Birthday to Sangria! Side note: a little while back someone was getting birthday greetings but ended up saying that was not really her birthday, LOL. Well, I am the same. The BD I use for online is totally different than my real life. All I will say is that in reality March is it for me - so Happy Birthday to my fellow March BB's and no it's not today :D 8-)  |
