It is exciting how much positive response and articles Adams Idol appearance gets. Could it be that Adam is No 1 with Sleepwalker in Finland? www.nrj.fi/top10On the list on the left side SW is NO 2 on the list on the right side No1, can one of our finnish friends explain? NRJ is just one radio station of many, and the list on the left is their TOP 10 music list at the moment, and the list on the right is what music they have latest played on air. I usually listen to Nova, and they are now playing Aftermath and IIHY daily, a couple of times. Voice plays Adam four times a day, when I last checked.

Adam and Sauli live on different continents. I'm not sure when that would ever be considered "convenient." In one video Adam talked about getting together with a "special friend" in Paris and allowed as to how it was "romantic"--sounds like couple talk to me! Did anyone else notice when Adam sang acoustic WWFM on Ellen a couple of weeks ago that he seemed to present a different "take" or slant on the lyrics? Seemed like the song was taking on new meaning for him, he looked more hopeful as he sang it, not so questioning,, but more relaxed, gentle, I don't know, hard to verbalize..... It just seemed to me that he was more.......... sorry, words fail. Maybe it was the Grammy nom and appearance on Ellen that had Adam glowing in that performance, but I noticed that he seemed very happy and content, and thought it might have something to do with the new love in his life.

About this chart - äänestä = vote osta = buy You can vote your favourite to be played on the "10 most wanted's list " (the one on right) which they will play on air at 6 PM each day. Or something like that :D.

Also that there is a combination of wisdom and a child-like naivete' -- which allows you to dream big without self-censoring, but then also to make that dream into reality with hard-work and a grounded understanding of the real world. The androgyny of gender role stereotyping is interesting and hearkens back to Virginia Woolf saying that great writers have androgynous minds. I think it comes out of the fact that for most self-confessed artists, their identity as an artist may be more central than any other identity including gender, age, race, religion etc. I interpreted this as a small part of Adam's resistance to being put into a "gay role model" box initially after Idol. " Perhaps the most important quality, the one that is most consistently present in all creative individuals, is the ability to enjoy the process of creation for its own sake." I hope Adam is finding a lot of joy in the song-writing and studio sessions right now. This also reminds me of how he has previously said that (at least for awhile) his most rewarding experiences were on the shoots of videos, where a complete visual, dance and audio creation came together. I'm really interested to see what form his music takes as he moves forward, but also how he visually interprets it live, in cover and promotional art, and in videos. Love you whole post! That combo of wisdom/child-like naivete is one of the most precious thing about Adam and it must be difficult for any major musician to hold onto this with the massive work load/media scrutiny/invasion of privacy/detractors. I remember him talking about taking everything to seriously for a minute after the AMAs and had to remind himself to enjoy the moment. He seems to make joy a priority and that makes me happy. An always serious workaholic Unicorn just wouldn't be right. What you said about artist identifying first as a creative being before gender/sexual identity etc, makes a lot of sense. It reminds me of that video many years ago with the dancing bumble bee girl who didn't fit in anywhere and was sad until she found all the other bumble bees and she could be happy being herself. I imagine Adam felt much the same beginning in Berlin then solidifying that feeling at Burning Man. "Finally...my people!" Found it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qVPNONdF58I bet you anything he is having a great time recording, though I imaging he wishes the day had 10 more hours in the day to fit in all the different things he wants to try and people he wants to work with. My dream is that he could make a new album every 6 months with no thoughts about what radio will play and videos for every song, just doing whatever he's in the mood to explore while somehow having his double touring the world. And wal, I luuuuv this drawing! Thanks for bring it!

It's my favorite version and you are right, mys*&@^#r, it definitely is like no other. I even noticed when he sang "and thanks for loving me 'cause you're doing it perfectly" that, to me, it seemed to have a different meaning and maybe I even saw (or imagined) a little twinkle in his eye that expressed a little extra happiness.

IMO Adam seemed happy and content and was glowing during the whole Grammy week. But this makes me always smile: He behaves like an adorable lovesick teenager here - his face, playing with his hands and his leg.....

Yes, and those on the left are the ones that station plays the most at the moment. So they really are the Adam Station in Finland.
