I think i missed any earlier developments re: Angelina, as I dont usually get time to read the whole day's musings on Atop. :(
But i do want to say i enjoy listening to her take on Adam - its great to get the view of someone who has some mastery in one of the same areas he does.
And im pleased that someone with a classical background like her has been so won over by Adam.
I guess that points to how layered the man is himself.
Its enjoyable all round that he has fans that are so varied.
Alas time for me to Close My Eyes. Good night Atop!

Wow every time i listen to Never Close Our Eyes I get more into it. This version is so clear www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LVk2zW7VmsYou know about the whole negativity positivity debate my experience is: I believe in the Power of putting the positive at the centre of your gaze. But you cant deny what you find negative, just dont be defined by it, or let it dictate your state of being. But I dont think everyone feels this way. Many people dont see the negative power of negativity. Ultimately suppressing negativity is often done in a reactive way which itself is hidden negativity. The best approach in my experience is surrounding the negative with great positivity...Love - it dissolves, and slips out of the system diffused and lost ... this is very new agey i know, but I'm thinking that hippie hero of ours might think it too..... I like your thinking.  |

I get that everyone has opinions, and not everyone has to like every song. But dang, it's disheartening to read so much trashing and mocking of songs that happen to not be your favorite. It's not like it elevates one song when another is ripped apart. I don't get it. Especially after a fantastic livestream like tonight. I wanted to bring this over from last night and say, THANK YOU, whatfun !! I was cringing when I read some of the posts that were trashing his music that he worked so hard on, FOR US. So what if he didn't write some of the songs, he still chose and recorded them and put his own sound on them and his own fans ridiculing for sport was totally uncalled for, IMO. Okay, you don't like the song, that's fine, we got it, but beating it like a piñata isn't really necessary. We know his friends and relatives are aware of this board; I can't imagine them reading some of the posts that tear his work to shreds. His performance of NCOE is breathtaking. This is just weird, I see nothing anywhere either on twitter or on the Z100 Portland website about Adam's appearance. Is that really happening today? It was supposed to be breakfast and someone said 9 or 10 but shouldn't that be happening now and isn't it strange there is NOTHING on twitter?
