This is just weird, I see nothing anywhere either on twitter or on the Z100 Portland website about Adam's appearance. Is that really happening today? It was supposed to be breakfast and someone said 9 or 10 but shouldn't that be happening now and isn't it strange there is NOTHING on twitter? I've been listening for about an hour. Nothin' :-/ read from bottom up Kritik @kritikpdx all these ppl are just chittering through his sound check in next room. stfu! 8m Kritik @kritikpdx about 20 of us waiting for Adam! more songs! This weekend is the best forever! 36m Kritik @kritikpdx I got a wave! pic.twitter.com/iIInd7M9 View photo 37m Kritik @kritikpdx best I got right now. hot rocker bert. small group here! yay. pic.twitter.com/krOZrIQY 39m Collapse · Kritik @kritikpdx @terratwo yep! watching him interview through they glass right now! hot rocker bert!

Freedom of speech? Yes, please.
Trashing Adam's songs? Hell, no!
Everyone would agree with these two premises, I'm sure, but they are too wide and unspecific.
Here are more concrete questions:
Should we openly say we don't like an Adam song on the board dedicated to him? Is this a place to go with impartial criticism of his work? Are we impartial? Should we be, here?
On the other hand, if we refrain from expressing our honest opinion, does this make this board unrealistic, in a way? Unreliable? If all we do is adore everything he does without any filters?
But then, this is the place where you can find some of the harshest criticisms of Adam's work, or clothes, or looks. Do we sometimes forget that this is a very public and frequently visited board? Do we sometimes feel like we're chitchatting with friends in a living room? Maybe being more tactful is advisable?
So, opinion is what is desireable here, as I understand. If I wanted pure info, I could go to any other blog which serves only that even in a more presentable manner. Opinions are what makes this place so cool. But, maybe we should bear in mind WHERE AND WHY we are expressing our minds. This is a board of/for ADAM'S FANS (where) and, please, have a really, really good reason WHY you're posting anything negative.

Cort Webber @cortwebber Working in a building with a pop radio station in it provides surreal experiences like walking into the bathroom to find Adam Lambert

Maybe he found it amusing that not everyone was drooling over the remixes: Favorites 13 Mar Fietje þ @libra_Fietje @adamlambert gonna be honest hon, the only one I kinda like is the Dave Aude one ... #NotAFanOfTheRemixes twitter.com/#!/adamlambert/favorites Lol. I think everyone had a cranky day yesterday because we want that new music so badly. It seems we have it out of our systems now, and things are looking up. You know we adore Adam no matter what he sings, we love his band, we love his friends, we love his boyfriend (deep down in our hearts). I just think we want the new music so bad, everyone got cranky on the same day. No harm done. We are survivors or we would not be here. We love Adam or we would not be here. We forgive always or we would not be here.

Have you read comments at places like MJs or general sites like Yahoo or EW? A few comments about Adam's clothes, hair or even performances of songs are NOTHING compared to the comments on some of these sites! Why should fans refrain from posting negative comments or opinions? Because some non-fans might be reading? What is the purpose of them reading here anyhow? Because friends or family of Adam's might be reading? They should have learned by now, three years after AI 8, that not everything is going to be positive in the Internet world. Sorry, but I've always hated this "watch what you are posting" meme. IMO, it always comes across as a bit preachy.

Before we spend too many more pages remarking on Adamtopia and what's acceptable posting I wanted to just put this out there:
The Adamtopia guidelines are quite simple. To be a member of Adamtopia...
1. You must be an Adam fan.
2. You must be respectful of other members. Feel free to express you opinion, but be glitterier and golden.
3. Strive to be funny, entertaining or informative when you post. Avoid posting something that has already been posted.
4. Never question anyone's right to post, the appropriateness of a topic or define the proper way for an Adam fan or Adamtopia Member to behave. Let the moderators do their job.
