Yes, this sucks. We love Sonisphere a lot and we love it in the present tense. We’ve had a few confirmations from people linked to the festival but there’s no official word from the festival promoters, Kilimanjaro as of yet. We understand that an official statement will be made tomorrow, so hold tight.Obviously, there are a lot of bands affected – a lot of bands who won’t want to work with Kilimanjaro again after this. Fingers crossed this doesn’t spell the end of a great major metal promoter but it’s not looking good. We’ve got a full analysis of the reasons behind the cancellation written and prepped, but the article’s on a laptop. A laptop that isn’t connected to the internet. Hail The Cloud.  |

Happy to vote in MTV thing if someone can post the direct link so I don't have to reload the page each time - that MTV site is a bitch! wow Sonisphere might be canceled? Did not expect that to happen. I just saw on the official Queen forum that one of the administrators posted this just a few hours ago: "Update on the Sonisphere show coming in the next day or so...." It's sounding more and more likely

Don't panic guys. Remember that Sonisphere is a traveling festival that takes place in several countries. Maybe the promoter is just going to streamline it. I just have a feeling the Queen gig will happen somehow.
