But tonight, Elise joined the ranks of Adam and last season's Haley Reinhart (the only other "Idol" contestant to ever dare to sing Zep on the show), and she rose to the occasion. Her version of "WLL" was very different from Adam's, more earth-rock than glitter-rock, and she really came across as a baby Stevie Nicks. Stevie even told her she was a "kindred sprit" and said, "If I needed a singer, I'd hire her in second." Hopefully, though, Elise will be on "Idol" too long to accept Stevie's kind and flattering offer any time soon. "I wasn't sure if you could pull that off, because nobody can pull that song off," began Steven (who apparently didn't watch Idol" Season 8, when Adam murdered this song). "But you made Robert Plant proud tonight!" Said J.Lo, "That was some real rock-star stuff!" And Randy praised Elise's "flavor" and howled, "Congrats!" I hope he's just practicing his congratulation declaration for when this underdog hopefully "Reinharts" herself into the top three. I got a whole lotta love for this girl.

My sister has gone down the rabbit hole into a full-fledged Glambert today! She actually discovered Adam before me as she is an avid Idol watcher and I was not. In fact, I went with her and her partner to the Idols show where I first went down the hole. Fast forward - she went to Warfield 2 and Vegas with me and loves Adam. But doesn't follow anything he does like I do. Well, she won the Alice radio contest so we went today (I was lucky enough to be a PLUS 1 two times this week). We were there at 10:15 am and only about 8 people were waiting. After about 2 hours when we finally got into the final area, she made a dash for the front and ended up in front of Adam! OMG she was cracking me up - she asked him if he likes chocolate milk (she really wanted him to like chocolate milk for some reason cuz she does). Then the whole way home she was playing the videos we took over and over. Now I see she posted everything on Facebook plus shared everything I posted. She talked about how gorgeous he is all the way home (she usually prefers girls haha). Plus she asked me so many questions about him. She didn't love BTIKM until today - and she loves the 2 new songs also. Yay for me, a new glambert in my family! Thanks for sharing. |

theosgma, Happy Birthday and congratulations! So happy to see a Florida peep "represent" at one of these M&Gs, even if Adam has scorned Florida during this promo tour.  Loved your recap, and many congratulations to you and Pifor the opportunity to meet (even briefly) Adam! He's amazing, in so many ways. I was lucky enough to buy a M&G for the Melbourne, FL concert during the GNT, and it was incredible to meet him. I even got a birthday card, signed by Adam, out of it thanks to the friend I attended the concert with, and it remains one of my most treasured possessions!
