I'm afraid the performance that cannot be named seriously scarred me. I'm always nervous for these really big "hyped" gigs.... Never worry about the talk shows, or the myriad of concert performances cuz he's got those worked out....but these big events, where perhaps he's expected to "have a moment" are nerve wracking for me...haha! *sighs* He'll be spectacular, and I will feel silly for worrying. ;D Oh yeah - the performance that cannot be named scared me shitless because as soon as I saw the crotch smoosh I thought his career was over before it really started. But the next few TV performances set my mind at ease - I think he learned a valuable lesson from that infamous night and now I don't worry. Can't say I don't have a few little tiny butterflies but they are happy butterflies, I think, so it's all good. 8-) |

LAMBERT_LIVE Still working on the twitter list for @adamlambert on American Idol!! Just let me know if you will be attending the show less than a minute ago via web mys*&@^#r, are you on the list? Phones can not go into the studio at all, so don't know what good a twitter list will do. (Most shows just tell you to turn them off, not Idol.) Idol has metal detectors. It's like going thru security at the airport! It's the most security I have ever seen for a TV show! My phone will be in the car :( It's still really nice because it means that as soon as the show lets everyone go we will hopefully get a flood of recap tweets. |

I'm never nervous for Adam to perform. I honestly try not to worry about things that are out of my control and just sit back and enjoy whatever happens. I do always hope that his voice is "on" and that he blows everyone away like I know he can. As for the performance that shall not be named, I loved that. I thought it was fun and raunchy and just fabulous and Adam came out of it virtually unscathed and if anything it made people aware of him that weren't before. Aftermath isn't a song that can be messed up IMO. It's not raunchy or risque and certainly not the most vocally challenging song he sings. I think he'll turn out a heartfelt beautiful performance and he'll only further confirm why he's the success he is. THIS! |

The audience has to do one of 2 things, let Idol hold your phone for you. But then you are in line, after the show, with hundreds of people getting their phones back. Or, leave it in the car, in the parking garage, that is about 1/4 mile away at The Grove. Since the show is live, there really won't be much to tweet that you all don't see at the same time we do, besides how wonderful he sounded live. I will try to get to my car as fast as possible though! Maybe I'll just call SusieFierce and then she can put everything on-line. It's funny, you all are anxious for tweets and I'll be anxious to get home so I can read all the flailing in the thread that night! |
