They were playing WWFM (9:15pm) on the Horry County (Myrtle Beach area) school channel that runs 24/7 on TV. The friend I went to HOB in MB with just called me (still visiting family) so I could listen. My daughter could hear her shouting across the room from my cell. When she called, I assumed something awful had happened to one of her (7 and 11) boys. No, just Adam. Having heard it on radio in all sorts of places, why does it still seem like such a huge deal? I don't know, but it doesn

I remember the video with the buildings and the lights. I don't remember which city. Video was a street scene. The high rises were lit up based on the song. I don't remember which song. It was def international, but I don't know if it was Singapore, Germany or Austria.
ETA: Thanks cookie.

Aftermath isn't a song that can be messed up IMO. It's not raunchy or risque and certainly not the most vocally challenging song he sings. I think he'll turn out a heartfelt beautiful performance and he'll only further confirm why he's the success he is. Actually, Aftermath is a tricky little song. It sounds simpler than it is. The beginning verses go down to a C#3, which is right at the bottom of his range. That makes it difficult to sing with resonance and power. The top notes are C#5, two octaves above. The Star Spangled Banner, Bruno Mars' Just the Way You Are, and Buble's Just Haven't Met You Yet are all an octave and a half range. Aftermath also bounces back and forth from low to high in quick succession. From chest to head and back. It also has rather long phrasing, and fast words, which Adam always articulates very clearly. All this is certainly within Adam's bag of tricks, and he makes it sound easy and effortless. I have no nerves about whether he will perform it well. Haven't heard him bobble it once in the 100+ live shows. But, just saying, his simple song ain't. Cassie, didn't something happen ONCE, had to be maybe mid USA part of tour? You and I both mentioned it, but since mine is totally unschooled, I was surprised when you concurred. Shoot, just went to look up our correspondence and realized it has gone the way of the Edsel, never to be recovered. I think it was AFTERMATH, I kind of remember him being on the steps when it happened. I'm more a visual memory person. Am I hallucinating?

RL story: Big sis has heard GNAFL sing Soaked, but only on her crappy portable cd player. Yesterday, I drove her to run some errands, since her car doors were all frozen shut (don't ask : I always play my ipod in my truck, and it has really good speakers. The first song that came on when I "shook" it (I fluv this feature 'cause I never know what to expect--but, errmm, I digress) was Soaked. Well, you all prob know my reaction :-[ when I hear this song. Couldn't drive, so I turned the volume up to max, and we just sat there enveloped in awesomeness. When it ended, I turned to her for a reaction, but she was sobbing too hard to talk!! When she composed herself she looked at me and said, "That was the most beautiful voice I have ever heard!! Are you sure he is human?" Me: "Well, errmm, there has been some speculation that he might not be." : What a wonderful story !!

Just listened to David Cook's version of "Don't You Forget About Me" - I loved it! I saw Simple Minds perform that song at U.C. Berkeley's Greek Theater more than several years ago! Loved it then, love David's version now!
