 ughh... my memory is so bad. I meant Austria and thanks for the help. Trying to find it now ;D Awwww, fuzzy hair! I haven't seen that in a while. Just want to run my hand over it---alot. I do that to my nephews - alot! They keep their hair quite short and I love to run my hand across the top of their heads! ;D ;D p.s. - they're 10 & 12, so they still allow it! I have 2 other nephews, 23 & 21, who won't go there, even if it is soothing! ;D |

Hey peeps, I've been in extreme emergency deep lurk mode the past week, because my sis has been visiting so I haven't been able to spend any real time here, but she just left this afternoon. Sorry to go a little personal-OT for a second, but she's my twin sister (we're the youngest of five) and we always did everything together, we're super-duper close, and we went to college together, and even to grad school together for a while, but then I moved back home to Austin and she had to follow fellowships and jobs elsewhere, and now she's in Boston and I'm in Austin and we haven't lived within 1000 miles of each other for SEVEN YEARS and its JUST SO WRONG!! And usually I'm okay about it because we talk all the time and visit each other a lot, but somehow today it just felt so upsetting to drop her off at the airport AGAIN, and I felt all teary-eyed and sorry for myself (I know it's lame and some people have real problems, but she's my TWINKY!) but I came here and all of y'all were posting goofy Adam gifs and it cheered me up somethin-special. So THANK YOU! Also thank you to Gelly for posting this pick yesterday, which I just found while power-skimming to catch up:  It's awesomely lulzworthy (dunno, something about the way Monte flies across the stage behind him on his tippy-toes pointing his admiration for the ridic makes me gufaw). So I'll stop whining, and enjoy tomorrow, and SXSW this week (where I'll check out UhHuhHer--who's with me?). Off to dinner with my hubby and some friends--that oughta cheer me up to. But you guys already did the lion's share, so HUGS. Really. Means a lot. Man, I just want to say I know how you feel. Last weekend, all my siblings gathered together in Palm Springs, which was so much fun, than my sister came to stay with me until Friday. My daughter and grandson, who live in another state, came in for a visit; my husband, who is working in Boston until mid -June, flew home for the weekend, and my son and his girlfriend, who is visiting for a month from Copenhagen, came over last night to celebrate his birthday. Tonight I just got home from taking the last of them to the airport. So sad saying so many goodbyes. Maybe I'll head your way for SXSW. My son plays there on the 17th and 18th. I already feel lonely. But hey! At least I'll get to see Adam sing live on Thursday. And since I will be watching alone, I'll be out of lurking mode and flailing along with the rest of you here at Atop! |

Cassie, didn't something happen ONCE, had to be maybe mid USA part of tour? You and I both mentioned it, but since mine is totally unschooled, I was surprised when you concurred. Shoot, just went to look up our correspondence and realized it has gone the way of the Edsel, never to be recovered. I think it was AFTERMATH, I kind of remember him being on the steps when it happened. I'm more a visual memory person. Am I hallucinating? Didn't Adam's voice break during Aftermath? One time. I distinctly remember forgetting that. ;D ;D ;D But, yes, I think that maybe his voice did break once --- in some concert in an alternate universe. |
